Your Dad's Perfect (Ruby)

Risky Moves

Walking up the steps, I watch as Jake opens the door and calls out to Alaric. Stepping in with him, I hang my bag and coat up.

"Jake, I'll be two minutes." I watch as Jake pulls me into the kitchen, my mind returning to yesterday. To what happened right here with Alaric "Thanks." Jake hugs me, and I step back.

"We need to talk..." Alaric stops at the door and looks between us. "I thought Ruby was busy?" Alaric looks confused between us.

"No, she sorted it out. Didn't you, babes?" He kisses my cheek, and I move away.

"You haven't been back in a while and and was ignoring my calls." Alaric looks at him.

"We were busy planning the wedding." Turning, I look at Jake, shocked. "We're thinking of setting a date, right?" Jake looks at me.

"Right..." What the fuck is he doing?

"One second." I watch Alaric answer his phone and walk out.

"Jake! You're meant to be telling him this is over."

"Give me a chance! I just walked in, and I don't want to do it immediately."

"You're stalling." I see Alaric at the doorway, his hand holding up my phone and placing it in my bag. Shit, it was here? That's why he wanted me to come with Jake.

"I'm not, I swear, babes. Just give me time."

"Right." I watch Jake turn to his dad. I guess we should eat and discuss this date." Alaric walks through, and we follow. I move to sit away from Jake, but he pulls me back next to him.

"From what I heard, you two had split up?"

I go to speak, and Jake does. "No, whoever said that is lying."

Me, Jake, it was me!

"Really? I don't get why this person would lie. She had nothing to gain from it."

"She, that says it all. An ex who is jealous." Jake laughs, and my head lowers.

"Jake, what is going on as she doesn't have her ring."

"She lost it." I didn't. Turning, I glare at Jake, his hand stroking my hair away from my face. We sit and eat, and I barely get a word in. Alaric keeps asking things that mean Jake should be honest, but he isn't. He keeps up his lies. "You guys should get back before it's late." Alaric looks at us.

"No, we're staying."

Turning, I look at Jake. We're not!

"I need to take this. I'll be back down soon." I watch Alaric walk out as he answers his phone.

"Jake, I'm not staying!" He stands and ignores me, walking to the living room. "Jake."

"Ruby, you said you would consider it."

"I have. I don't want to be with you. Now tell him." I can't believe he's delaying this.

"You want me to tell him on his birthday?" Jake looks at me.

"Don't lie, it's not! You didn't even say happy birthday, so cut the shit!"

"I spoke to him on the phone and said it. Ask him; it's his birthday, so just stay, and I will tell him in the morning."

"Jake." He moves and takes out his phone, turning it to me.

"See, I messaged saying happy birthday this morning, then we spoke on the phone, and I said it again." Shit. He knows already, though. "I'm not staying and sharing a bed with you."

"I'll sleep on the floor. Ruby, give me until tomorrow..." His words stop as Alaric walks in and sits. "Work seems busy?" Jake looks at him. "Always is. You two shouldn't drive back late."

"We're not, I'm grabbing a drink." Jake stands and leaves.

"Why are you here?" Alaric stares at me. So he didn't want me here to give me the phone? From NôvelDrama.Org.

"Jake was saying you were insistent I came!"

"Because I thought he might grow a pair of balls and tell me the truth. You weren't meant to come! He was meant to tell me it was over."

Well, that failed. "He won't. He said he would but keeps putting it off. Like now, his excuse is he will tell you in the morning, as it's your birthday today."

His eyes roll. "He won't tell me, which is why when he came alone, I would have pulled him about it. If I say anything now, he will leave, and you'll be stuck here without a car."

Shit, he's right. I came in Jake's car. "I won't say anything tonight, but you're making him use you again."

"I am pushing for him to tell you." I'm failing at it, though. I watch Jake walk through. He sits next to me, pulling me closer. My body is trying to move away.

This is awkward as fuck. Half an hour later, I'm bored as fuck. The film sucks. Lying down, I read a book on my phone while Jake and Alaric watched the film. I plan to sleep on the sofa, just to avoid Jake.

I hear his phone ringing. "Hey," Ignoring him, I continue reading. "Yeah, I have five minutes now." My eyes roll. "I'll be back soon, babes." Jake stands and leaves; he can take as long as he wants. Reading, I get lost in the book.

"Ruby."

"Hmm?" I keep my eyes on the phone as I read. He doesn't reply, turning I look behind, and see his eyes on my ass. "Yes, Alaric?" I move slightly, which causes my skirt to rise more, and I place the phone down. "Cover your ass before I get ideas." I smile at his words.

"Which side, Daddy?" I smirk at him.

"Ruby, my son is just through there." He points towards the kitchen.

"Hmm, you'd better put your idea into action quickly then hadn't you?" I'm only partly joking. He moves quickly, his body leaning over mine as I lay on my stomach.

His hand slides between my legs before his fingers move the fabric over my underwear and push inside of me. Moaning, I bite my lip. His fingers delved deeper, rubbing against the walls inside of me.

His other hand wraps around my mouth as he spears his fingers into me quickly. My body shakes, and I explode; the footsteps get closer, and he moves back. His hand pulls my skirt down, and I stare at my phone. God, what am I doing? I want to tell myself off, yet the thought of him touching me again has my body burning with desire.
