Chapter 51 Punishment
The window!
The window could be the way out since the door was impassable.
Freya immediately stood up and headed toward the window. She tried to push it open, observe the height, but the window wouldn’t budge. She twisted the handle, shook it with all her strength. The window remained unmoved. She furrowed her brows…
At that moment, Linda’s voice came from outside the door, “Madam, did you offend Mr Silverton? When he left, he looked very angry and ordered to seal your room. Without his consent, you can’t leave. I think you should apologize to him and ask for his forgiveness.”
“Apologize to him and he’ll let me go? With his nasty temper?” Freya doubted.
She angrily pounded on the window.
Elijah, you despicable man!
She cursed in her mind.
Linda asked, “Do you have any other ideas?”
Freya hadn’t thought of a feasible plan yet. She lay on the bed to conserve energy. Her brain worked tirelessly to find a solution. But in the end, she couldn’t think of a good way. The room was sealed. She wasn’t a fairy who could transform and fly out.
Elijah said she would pay the price. Sure enough…
She just had lain down and fallen asleep. And when she woke up, she found herself locked inside the room.
“Linda, I’m fine. I… need to stay calm.”
There was movement downstairs and Linda quickly went down.
Elijah Silverton had returned.
Linda smiled, “Madam just said she’s hungry…”
“Let her starve.” Elijah looked up and said to Linda, “I have to go on a business trip. While I’m away, don’t secretly give her any food.”
Linda wanted to say something else. Elijah’s gaze turned cold. She lowered her head, not daring to say more.
Elijah Silverton would be away for three days.
…
Freya had been locked up for three days, and now she didn’t even have the strength to speak. She lay on the bed, lips parched to a pale color, weak all over, accompanied by dizziness… She was experiencing hypoglycemia, which might trigger other symptoms later.
Who could save her?
Freya felt despair, hating Elijah to the core. In her moment of despair, she suddenly thought of Orion Russo.
She got off the bed, swaying dangerously. She used all her strength to pat the door. Linda was also anxious. It had been three days, and Freya hadn’t eaten anything.
Hearing the noise, Linda hurried upstairs. She stood at the door, looking worried. “I’ll try calling Mr Silverton to explain…”
“Call Orion Russo, and tell him about my situation.” Freya sat in front of the door. She didn’t want to move now, feeling weak as if she were seriously ill. Talking to Elijah was probably wishful thinking. Maybe Orion Russo could save her. He was her only hope.
“I’ll make the call.” Linda was afraid that a life would be lost. Hurriedly rushing downstairs, she dialed the number Freya provided.
The call was quickly answered, and a voice came from the other end, “Hello…”
“It’s Ms Stone who asked me to call you. She’s been locked up and hasn’t eaten anything for three days…”
Orion Russo, upon hearing this, was alarmed. A pregnant woman enduring such hardship?
He immediately asked, “Where is she locked up?”
“In the villa…”
Before Linda could finish her sentence, Orion Russo hung up. It seemed like he already knew the address.
Linda put down the phone, pacing anxiously, hoping that Orion Russo would arrive soon.
After half an hour, the door was knocked. Linda opened the door.
“Where is she?” Orion urgently asked.
“On the second floor.” Linda replied.
Orion strode in, heading directly upstairs. “Where are the keys?” he asked.
Linda shook her head, “I don’t have them.”
“Should I call Mr Silverton?” Linda asked cautiously, afraid of Elijah’s reaction to her calling Orion Russo without permission.
“She’s been locked up for three days. Do you think he’ll agree just because you ask him? We have no choice but to force the door.”
Linda, torn between anxiety and fear of Elijah’s disapproval, rubbed her hands nervously. “What should we do?”
“There’s no other option. We’ll have to break in,” Orion said, knocking on the door. “Freya, are you behind the door? I’m about to break it down. Don’t hurt yourself.”
Freya, upon hearing the sound, shifted her body and leaned back.
Orion took two steps back, prepared to kick the door. Suddenly, a low male voice came, “What are you doing?”
Linda and Orion looked towards the voice and saw Elijah, who had returned at some point.
Linda quickly explained, “Madam couldn’t hold on, so I… I…”
“Elijah, what did she do wrong for you to torture her like this? Do you really want her dead?” Orion interrupted Linda.
Could it be that Elijah found out about Freya’s pregnancy?
Why else would he be so angry?
“Is she dead?” Elijah’s face darkened.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
He wasn’t pleased with Orion’s actions.
Who was Freya to him?
Why did Orion keep trying to plead on her behalf again?
And he even rushed to his villa to save her this time.
Elijah felt extremely upset about it. He felt like something that belonged to him was being cared for and protected by someone else.
“Linda, go to the study and get the keys.”
Elijah wanted to see if Freya was on the verge of death, his expression too dark.
Orion didn’t dare to say much, thinking that Elijah probably knew about Freya’s pregnancy since he was this angry. Orion sighed.
Linda hurried downstairs, then rushed back up.
“Mr Silverton, the keys.” She handed them over.
Elijah took the keys, walked to the door, inserted them into the lock, turned the core, and opened the door.
Then, he saw Freya lying on the floor. Her hair was messy. Her face was pale, and her lips were cracked. Freya struggled to get up from the ground. Through the disheveled hair, she glared fiercely at Elijah.
Indeed, this man had a heart as cold as a snake and scorpion! Those occasional moments of kindness must have been her illusion! This man had been violent from the beginning to the end.
Elijah’s gaze was heavy, emitting a trace of cold and gloomy aura. “You still have the strength to glare. It seems you’re not dying that quickly.”
Orion and Linda exchanged glances. Neither of them dared to say a word.
Freya stubbornly continued to glare at him. Her voice was hoarse and raspy, like a leaky bellows. “You would better… kill me.”
“I can easily grant your wish.” Elijah stared back at her expressionlessly.
“Even if I die, I’ll drag you down to hell!” Freya, without knowing where the strength came from, or perhaps it was a burst of power in her desperation, rushed to Elijah, grabbing his collar.
Elijah remained calm, calmly watching her.
After three days of torment, she was thin and weak, seemingly on the verge of fainting at any moment. This was her, displaying a kind of fragile and sickly beauty with sharp eyes. She was a stubborn woman who refused to admit defeat.
Elijah didn’t mind her rudeness; instead, he appreciated it. He approached her face, his voice low and seductive. “Now, do you have the ability to let me accompany you to the grave?”
Freya suddenly realized that she was unarmed, with no means to harm him.
Was that why he mockingly taunted her so calmly?
Shame, anger, filled Freya’s mind.
Suddenly, she stood on her tiptoes and bit the man’s neck!
