Worship The Ground You Walk On

Chapter 62 I Can’t Wait

Chapter 62 I Can’t Wait

Mr. Hunt didn’t expect that Ben would show up right here, right now.

So did Claudia.

She looked at the man close to her, breathing in the familiar smell of him. Seeing him holding her in his

long arm intimately, she wouldn’t have believed it if she hadn’t felt the touch.

“Mr. Crawford, I…” he stuttered in panic, “I just want to invite her for a meal!”

“A meal?” Ben stretched his lips and smiled.

He turned to Claudia with all eyes on her, leaned down to her face, and said softly, “Do you want to

have a meal with Mr. Hunt?”

Though he said it in a gentle way, she could feel the suppression from his words, like he would break

her neck immediately once she nodded.

Of course, she wouldn’t take his invitation.

Seeing Claudia shaking her head, Ben was satisfied and smiled. Then he turned to Mr. Hunt and talked

to him coldly, “You see, Mr. Hunt. My wife isn’t willing to go with you!”

Mr. Hunt was so embarrassed that he hoped he could disappear immediately.

“Sorry! I’m so sorry!”

He kept apologizing and ran into the elevator quickly.

Ben didn’t put his arm away from her even when the elevator went down.

Claudia was standing in there nervously. She could feel that Ben was watching her but didn’t what to

do next. Before she could make a move, she suddenly felt that her feet were off the ground. Ben lifted

her up by his arms and took her to the suite at the end of the hallway.

Claudia didn’t expect this. She was grasping his suit tightly and feeling more and more flustered.

He kicked the door open, brought her in, and closed it with another kick. He threw Claudia on the bed,

loosened his bow tie, and locked the door.

Claudia had a bad feeling about this and started to struggle, but before she could get off the bed, she

was thrown back by him once again.

Claudia was always weaker than him. She knew he would conquer her eventually, but she still kept

pushing him away with her delicate hands and a defensive look.

But that made him discontented.

She was his wife! Why was she guarding against him!

Did she really think he would hurt her!

His emotions ran high rapidly. He pinched her jaw heavily, dragged her face close to him, and looked

directly into her eyes. “Since when can you accept an old man like Hunt?” he said coldly.

Claudia was surprised and frowned.

What did he mean she accepted!

She didn’t want to see Hunt at all!

“Remember, as long as we haven’t finished the divorce proceedings, you are still Mrs. Crawford. Do

you want me to teach you how to be Mrs. Crawford?” he stared at her indifferently and leaned down to

her, “Or do you think you can run away from my control?”

“……”

Claudia didn’t know what to say and just clenched her fists.

Suddenly, she wrenched her arms free and said in sign language, “I need to meet Conrad!” Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

Ben remained silent. He was glancing her up and down. She had a pair of limpid eyes as clear as the

spring and a comely face, which was really exquisite.

It was hard to imagine, that such a wonderful girl was the wicked schemer who ensnared Hanna.

However, Hanna was the last person he wanted to suspect in the case.

Therefore, he was going to spell out the painful words, “Before Hanna’s case is settled, what makes

you believe you have the chance to see your son?”

Claudia was puzzled. Her eyelashes were trembling slightly, so were her hands when making the sign

language, “Her company is in trouble, but what does it matter to me and my son?”

But the reason why Hanna and her company were in a dire strait was that she wanted to save the

house of the Evans.

Though Claudia never asked for this, she still owed Hanna an apology. But that shouldn’t prevent her

from seeing her son.

Ben stood up and gazed down at her, “It is all because of you that she is now in suffering! I don’t care

what kind of roles you have played in this matter, but before we find the truth, you can never see your

son!”

Then, he turned his back on her and walked away.

She was still sitting on the bed perplexedly with a broken heart.

Driven away by Ben, Mr. Hunt was sitting in a car at the park of the hotel, thinking about Claudia again

and again.

He felt like she put a spell on him, and he didn’t what to do. So he took the phone and called Amber

again.

“I just met Ben. He hasn’t divorced Claudia at all! How do you want me to take care of Claudia?”

He was questioning her angrily with discontent in his mind.

But Amber was standing on the rooftop and smiled, “Don’t hurry, Mr. Hunt! She isn’t divorced yet, but

soon she will be!”

“I’m not in a hurry, but how can you tell me the wrong information!” he lied.

“Fine! Considering you love my sister so much, I can create a perfect chance for you to make Claudia

your wife!”

Mr. Hunt was excited, “Really?”

“Sure. But promise me, Mr. Hunt, when we finally make it, treat my sister nicely and never let her

down!” Amber said hypocritically.

Cheering up by her response, he made the promise immediately.

Amber was leaning on a French window, watching the nightscape with her cold eyes, and imaging the

vicious show about to go.

And then, she took out the phone and sent a message to Claudia.

“You did pretty well tonight. I’ll pick you up at 8 am tomorrow.”

In a minute, she received her reply.

“Sure!”

It was just a word, but she could imagine the worriment of Claudia as a child missing her mother.

Thinking about this, Amber smiled much sneakier. Well, since Claudia was about to meet her fate, she

didn’t mind helping her achieve her last wish.
