Chapter 24
Chapter 24
Oliver Gusto was never one to give in to mere threats, especially when they were from someone very inferior to him in status; nor was he one to tolerate any form of disrespect from anyone. Moreless, a domestic servant.
He had no idea how long he and Magda were exchanging glares but he eventually broke the contact and stared at his luggage. He was not used to giving in to his ego and that pierced his heart seeing that he was left with no choice.
“I should have come with a maid.” He mumbled, staring at his luggage in disgust.
“Just because of one piece of luggage? You’re beyond repair, Mr Gusto.” He heard Magda say.
“And how the fuck is whatever I say or do any of your damn business?!!!”
“I see. Not only were you not taught any manners. You were also not taught any etiquette. Because you have all the money in the world, you believe you could throw it on everyone’s face as you wish. Sorry to crush your ego but that wouldn’t work here.”
“The last time I checked, It’s my money and I can do whatever I want with it and that includes buying you to come to lick my bedroom floor in Australia.”
Magda burst into a peal of laughter. “I would love to see you achieve that.”
Oliver glared at her before reaching for the handle of his luggage after which he made his way towards the door entrance where Magda was.
“I thought you wouldn’t mind staying out until your dear Beatrice comes to pick you up.” She mocked the moment he came to where She was.
Oliver glared at herContent © NôvelDrama.Org.
“It wasn’t that hard. Was it?” She referred to the luggage that he eventually carried.
Oliver was about to respond. Knowing well that he was about to attack her, Magda cut him off. “Welcome to the Peters’ home.” She opened the door for him. Not that She loved to, but because it was her duty.
Once She shut the door behind them, She led the way and he followed suit, rolling his luggage box beside him.
“This is the main living room.” She referred to where they were. “That’s the bar area, the dining, the second living room and to your left, is the kitchen.”
“How long will you be staying for?”
“How the fuck is that any of your business?” He replied immediately, clearly irritated by her.
“Cocky much!” She mumbled, then made her way towards the staircase. Oliver walked behind her and of course, she ignored him as he grumbled about taking his luggage all the way up himself.
“This wing is off-limits for you.” She pointed at the side which was occupied by Katherine and her babies.
“Why?”
“Because you have no business here.”
“Whose order? Beatrice?”
“You’re just a guest here so I would advise you don’t step out of your boundaries.”
Ignoring the confused look Oliver was giving her, Magda made her way towards Beatrice’s wing. She had insisted that She put him in the room next to hers.
“This is where you will be staying.”
“Finally,” Ollie mumbled with relief.
“You want me to get you anything?”
Even from the tone in which She asked the question, Oliver could tell She was ready to piss him off.
“Food, wine, fruits, alcohol?”
Giving her one last glare, Oliver made his way to the room with his luggage, slamming the door behind him.
“What an egoistic individual!” She mumbled before taking her leave. She was glad the triplets obeyed her and didn’t come out of their playroom.
Going down the staircase, She bumped into Katherine who looked worried and most importantly, very scattered.
“Whe....where is he? He didn’t see them. Did he? I came through the backdoor to avoid bumping into any strange fellow.” She said at a go.
All her life that She had known her, Magda knew Kathie to be one hell of a strong and confident woman. Never had she seen her this nervous and confused.
She took her shaky hands in her warm ones “Calm down, honey. He didn’t see them. He’s in the room next to your mother’s.”
Katherine let out a breath She had no idea she was holding.
“Why are you all stressed out? I told you I was going to take care of everything.”
“I know but this is all so sudden.”
“Let’s get you to your room. I don’t like the way you’re looking.”
Before Katherine could say anything else, Magda led her to her bedroom.
“He’s just as you’ve described him.” She stated the moment they got in.
“He was nasty to you. Wasn’t he?” Katherine chuckled. “I’m not surprised.”
“I was taken aback when I first set my eyes on him.”
“The resemblance with the triplets?”
“Yes. That’s part of it. It was as if I was looking at the older version of Sammy and Sebby. Most especially Sammy.”
“If I may ask, Do you by any chance know anything about his birth mom?” Magda stared at Kathie curiously.
“If I remember correctly, You said his father is just like your mom who remarries and divorces almost every time.”
“Yeah, but I didn’t pay any attention to anything that had to do with him when we were living together but you can talk to Beatrice. Why do you ask?”
“No.. no...nothing....” She answered immediately, stammering.
“There’s just this little crazy thought in my head but it’s not important.”
“You left Beatrice at the Bridal shop? She must be so mad.”
“I’m least concerned about her right now. I’m sure She will figure things out.”
“Life does not only revolve around her. I’ve got to take care of my shit too.”
“Do you know how long he’s going to be staying for?” Kathie asked Magda, referring to Oliver.
“Beatrice didn’t mention anything about that and Oliver refused to say anything.”
“Sometimes I just hate my mother so much. I have a feeling She knew he would be coming today and she didn’t see any reason to give me a heads up.”
“She probably couldn’t wait to fuck him before she ties the knot with Andre.”
“Come on, Kathie. Would your mom really do that? He’s way younger than her and as She said, She’s only got admiration for him.”
“They didn’t do it years back because She was married to his father. This just seems to be the perfect time.”
Magda stared at Kathie questionly. “Are you jealous about it?”
“Of course not, Magda. Why in hell would I have to be? I literally have nothing to lose so I see no reason to be angered.”
“Come on, girl. I’m family. You don’t have to hide all of your emotions away from me. No one will ever be comfortable knowing the father of her kids is fucking her mother.”
“They are grown adults, Magda. Whatever they do is their business. Mom knew I fucked him at some point so whatever she does is a well-thought decision.”
“So what’s the plan now? Are you sure you don’t wanna tell him? No matter how much of an asshole he is or he has been, he still deserves to know”
“I’m still not convinced that he deserves to know anything. And until then, my babies will be with my best friend.”
“But you will be back tonight? Or are you sleeping over at Michelle’s?” Magda couldn’t help but ask.
“I can’t say yet. I’m sure they would need some privacy so you don’t have to worry about me.” Katherine said, picking up her purse from the couch in her room.
“I hope he doesn’t see me when taking the kids out.” She said with worry etched on her face.
“I doubt he will step out of that room until your mother arrives. Not after I pissed him off.”
“I wish I was there to see that.” A small smile appeared on Katherine’s lips. She knew Magda had no tolerance for any form of disrespect.
“He’s so full of himself,” Magda said unbelievably.
“You’ve got no idea.”
“I better get going. Michelle should be home by now.”
“Yeah. I’m sure Alice is done packing their stuff. They are in the playroom.”
...........................
“Mommy!!!” Sophie screamed the moment she sighted her mother. She dropped the drumsticks she was holding and ran to the door where Kathie was.
“My love,” Kathie smiled, crouched down to her daughter’s height and engulfed her into a hug. She was glad to see that Alice had changed their clothes for them.
“Welcome, ma.” Alice, the nanny, greeted Katherine who smiled at her.
“I miss you, mommy.”
“I miss you too, my love.”
“Don’t I deserve some hugs and kisses?” She said to her boys who were sitting on the rug with their attention on the Television.”
“Hi Mommy,” Sammy greeted, not taking his face off the cartoon.
Katherine turned her attention to Magda. “See why I wanted them to stay little forever? They hardly even let me bathe them any more.”
Magda and Alice chuckled.
“Mom...” Sebby groaned where he was with his brother.
“I thought it was ‘mommy’. Now it’s ‘mom’. That hurts.”
Katherine turned her attention to Magda. “You didn’t tell me it was going to hurt this much.”
Magda shrugged with a sheepish smile. “Enjoy every stage of their growth.”
