Chapter 233 It's Not What You Think!
Chapter 233 It's Not What You Think!
"Finish your breakfast quickly and go to kindergarten. And, from now on, you should protect Jane like a
man, understood?"
No matter who her parents were, a man should always protect a woman at any time.
Jerry agreed and said, "Dad, don't worry. I won't be as bad as you, chasing mom out of here for four
years!" Jerry would keep this in mind all his life and planed to punish his dad when he grew up.
"Nonsense!" Samuel wanted to scold Jerry, but he held back his anger due to his good upbringing.
And the fact was that Ella had abandoned him for four years! He was tolerant and chose to let her go.
These thoughts remained unsaid.
"How can you call yourself a senior lawyer after all the bad things you have done?" Jerry had learned
what happened between Ella and Samuel. At first he didn't know who was right or wrong, but he
figured it out just by judging from their attitudes.
It had to be his father's fault.
Samuel became livid because of his son's insults.
After he drunk his milk, he wiped his mouth and walked towards Jerry in anger.
Sensing his anger, Jerry rushed towards the door, carrying his bag.
Even though he ran fast, Samuel caught up to him in the living room.
Samuel wanted to teach Jerry a lesson, but a soft but deterrent sound interrupted, "Samuel, what are
you doing?"
Ella saw what was happening while walking down the stairs. She ran and pulled their son away from
Samuel.
"Samuel, Jerry is your son, why do you always want to hit him?"
Samuel was fumed by this point.
"That little jerk is disrespectful to me, and of course I will teach him a lesson!" Now if he dared to talk to
him in this way, what would happen when he grew up?
Ella didn't want to listen to Samuel. She pushed away Samuel's hand and said, "He is just a kid, why
are you so fussy?" She couldn't understand why Samuel always wanted to discipline Jerry.
"Kid? If your son is a kid, he must be early-maturing." Inadvertently thinking of Jane, Samuel felt that a
son was really not as clever and considerable as a daughter.
Over ten years later, Samuel would find out that he was so wrong at that moment.
"Samuel, I will be mad if you say 'your son' one more time!" It sounded like Jerry was really not his son.
"Okay, okay, my fault!" Samuel hastened to apologize. Seeing Samuel coaxing Ella, Jerry seized the
chance to run towards the door, and then went to school with Jane.
Looking at his son running away, Samuel snickered. 'He knows when to take the chance to escape,
that's smart move.' Samuel thought, a tinge of proud washing over him.
It seemed that the whole world knew about what had happened to Catherine. Now she hid in her
apartment and dared not go out, fearing that others would taunt her.
Thus she had no chance to retaliate against Ella and only cursed Ella, who appeared elegant and
undisturbed on TV.
Ella needed to leave C Country for a few days for work, thus she asked a servant and Jerry to take
care of Jane.
Samuel was sitting in the office, watching the TV channel that was presenting Ella's fashion show,
when a thought flashed through his mind.
Just the night before Ella was supposed to return, Samuel said a few words to Molly and then drove
her to the shopping mall.
At the time, there were only two or three days before the lunar year.
Ella came back to C Country earlier than expected and went to Samuel's company to surprise him.
However, his secretaries and assistants told her that Samuel had just left with Molly but they didn't
know where they went.
'Where did they go?' Ella wondered.
She called Molly but no one answered.
She called again and still no one answered. So she left Samuel's office in a state of confusion.
She was in a daze for two minutes and then decided to wait for Samuel at home.
But when she turned to hail for a taxi, she saw a woman getting into Samuel's car.
She looked carefully and it seemed that the woman was Molly. The car drove off in the opposite
direction. Ella, by some chance, called for a taxi to follow Samuel's car.
Actually Ella didn't know why she followed the car.
Samuel's car stopped in front of a shopping mall. Then they went into the shopping mall together.
Ella paid the taxi and followed them.
They went to the GL diamond shop on the first floor. Ella felt more confused, 'Why is Samuel coming
here with Molly?'
Ella stood outside. Samuel picked out a ring and Molly wore it. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Molly smiled and seemed very happy. With the ring, her fingers looked beautiful under the light.
Ella was nervous suddenly, wondering why Samuel bought a ring for Molly.
Why? 'Stop being paranoid!' Ella said to herself.
It seemed that the ring was not suitable for Molly. So the shopping assistant went to pick another one.
Samuel and Molly chatted happily.
The diamond of the ring was not as big as the previous one. But it looked more bright and shinier. Both
Molly and Samuel were satisfied.
Then they paid the bill.
......
Was this for real?
Her hunsband and her best friend?
Ella felt hurt and kept telling herself that this was not happening. But how could she convince herself
after seeing what happened?
When they were about to leave, Samuel saw Ella standing outside the shop, tears in her eyes.
'Isn't she supposed to be in Green Cold Country now? When did she come back?' Samuel thought to
himself, in shock.
'He feels guilty', Ella thought. She looked at Samuel and Molly disappointingly and walked away.
"Oh gosh! Ella, it's not what you think." Molly looked at Samuel anxiously, "You said she would be back
tomorrow!"
Samuel also knew that Ella misunderstood them. So he took the ring from Molly and chased after her.
When he emerged from the shopping mall, Ella had already entered a taxi and left.
Samuel took a look at the license plate number and chased after it with his car.
Meanwhile, Samuel kept calling Ella but Ella didn't answer.
