Chapter 1844
Seeing that there was no one else around, Jean calmly walked up to greet Frank. "I'm surprised... You've really kept your cards close to your chest!" She had been there with Winter when Frank was personally training her in traditional Draconian medicine, so she and Frank were quite close too. And while she was not as accomplished as Winter, she was a capable assistant to her.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Frank raised a brow, perplexed.
Jean was glancing at Winter just then, rolling her eyes at her bestie who was smiling stupidly as she leaned into Frank's chest.
"I'm talking about your family connections, of course," she said with a snort. "I mean, Governor Quill's grandson? Tut, tut... You'd be strutting in Riverton if you had told everyone back then, and there certainly wouldn't be so many problems."
Frank chuckled at her words, shaking his head. "I just found out myself, and..."
He then paused, glancing coldly at the stairs where Cara fled. "I wouldn't stoop to taking up such titles, and I have even less desire to be lumped with these people."
"Huh...?"
Frank's words left Jean dumbfounded.
Anyone within Governor Quill's jurisdiction or everyone in Draconia, for that matter-would be overjoyed just to have some form of connection with someone of Governor Quill's stature.
After all, with such a powerful backer, one could be really fearless.
Even if the name Governor Quill did not sound as impressive as the Lord of the Southern Woods, anyone who knew about the state of Draconia would understand.
Because in reality, the Lord of the Southern Woods sounded amazing but was not quite worth its weight in gold compared to Governor Quill.
While Godwin Lawrence was the head of a single state in the south, Governor Quill was the commander-in-chief of seven states around Draconia's capital of Morhen.

Anyone with an astute insight would be able to tell the balance of power between both men. Even the Four Families of Morhen would have to be respectful in Governor Quill's presence, and they actually had to ask him for favors on occasion. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
One might say that in those seven states, no one held more authority than Governor Quill-every mayor and senator in his jurisdiction must defer to him.
However, though Frank found out recently that he was the maternal grandson of such a power figure, he was not happy at all.
In fact, he was repulsed, even claiming that he did not want to be lumped with the likes of them?!
Jean felt numb from head to toe, not even sure that she was still smiling.
She snapped at Winter right then, "Wake up and quit being a simp, bestie! Your brother is Governor Quill's grandson!"Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
Even as Jean freaked out, she finally understood why Frank was refusing the endless wealth and influence of the Quill, even saying things like he did not want to be lumped with them. Content belongs to

If word of who Frank really was got out, the city of Zamri would certainly be left quaking.
That said, he would not be thought of as a sugar baby. In fact, while everyone thought Frank was living off Helen and Vicky before, it would be the complete opposite now!
"Wait, what? I'm not a simp!"
Jean's meltdown jolted Winter to her senses, and she flushed as she quickly saw Frank's smile. "No, I'm not..."
"What the hell are you talking about?
It'd be better if you are!" Jean was laughing. "Listen here, kiddo-Frank

"What are you saying, Jean?! I'm not... Wait, Frank is Governor Quill's grandson?!"
Winter, who was ready to argue, soon turned toward Frank, staring blankly as her mouth widened big and round.
