The Divorcee and Her Three Chaotic Children (Olivia Clarke and William)

Chapter 69

Chapter 69

In the Kinsman Group

William was on cloud nine today, and his work efficiency had skyrocketed.

Little did he know that his mind was preoccupied with the thought of his child being with Olivia, and he

had to wrap up work early to pick him up.

So, when Marshall burst in with a tablet in hand, he caught William wearing a rare, relaxed smile on his

face.

Marshall almost thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“Mr. Kinsman…”

“What’s up?” As he looked up, the smile on William’s face vanished, replaced by his usual icy

demeanor.

Marshall snapped back to reality, thinking his eyes had indeed deceived him. He quickly handed over

the tablet, “Mr. Kinsman, we’ve got a problem. On Twitter, a trending comment says… well, you’d better

see for yourself.”

Seeing Marshall’s hesitant expression, William’s face darkened.

Without further ado, he tapped the tablet screen. A trending topic appeared: “A match made in heaven!

Mr. Kinsman of Melburgh’s top wealthy family is set to tie the knot!”

Following this attention-grabbing headline was a bold and red “HOT” label.

William clicked on the trending topic, revealing a carefully edited photo and caption.

A photographer of their family had taken the photo the previous night.

William’s finger lingered on the photo momentarily before scanning the comments below.

A smile crept back onto his face as William read through the congratulatory messages and

compliments.

Marshall cautiously stood nearby, watching William’s sudden smile with a pounding heart.

Marshall was sure that Mr. Kinsman was furious, and he was in hot water!

Marshall knew he should have removed the trending topic before informing Mr. Kinsman! Nowadays,

the media has become too audacious, spreading outrageous

rumors!

“Mr. Kinsman, I’ll have them remove the offensive item immediately! I’ve already looked into it. Star

Media is behind the story. Should we buy them out as usual or force them into bankruptcy?”

Seeing William’s continued silence, Marshall’s anxiety peaked, prompting him to start

a “self-rescue” mission.

“Good job. Let them keep it up.”

“Wh-what?” Marshall questioned his own hearing,

“By the way, Star Media is a new company, right?”

“Yes, according to the investigation, they’ve been around for less than a year.” It is true that the more

wit, the less courage. Time to teach them a lesson about the cruel world!

“Invest in them and let them work hard.”

“Mr. Kinsman, are you saying not only do you not want them to remove the trending topic, but you also

want to invest in them?”

Why? Didn’t Mr. Kinsman hate it when people spread outrageous rumors about him?

Especially regarding marriage, many people had tried to ride William’s coattails to fame by stirring up

scandals. Apart from Gianna, those women ended up in dire straits, with their careers in tatters.

Some of them were even shipped off to Srence to mine coal!

What was going on now?

“Did I not make myself clear, or are you tired of being my right-hand man and a bit rusty in your duties?

Do you want to go to Srence and mine coal?” Marshall’s hesitation successfully caught William’s

attention.

“I’ll get in touch with Star Media right away!”

Marshall bolted out of the room like a bat out of hell.

William was in high spirits and didn’t fuss with him. He opened Twitter and continued to read the

comments under the trending topic with satisfaction.

Caroline and Gianna waited in the Kinsman family’s living room for two hours, but William still didn’t

show up.

Caroline felt that something was wrong.

The Kinsman family’s ser vants were busy as bees, seemingly not taking them seriously.

No one was willing to talk to them. Even their glances seemed odd.

“Mom, I have a bad feeling about this. Why hasn’t William shown up yet? Doesn’t he want to admit it?”

“Can he deny it if he wants to? Keep your shirt on, let’s wait a bit more.” Caroline also sensed

something was off, but if they missed this golden opportunity, Gianna might never marry into the

Kinsman family.

One way or another, she had to get an explanation from William!

Caroline couldn’t sit still any longer. Just as she was about to get up to find the butler,

10:55

Ivan appeared before her with a set of clean clothes.

“Apologies for the delay. This is the dress our Mr. Kinsman asked us to prepare for Miss Clarke.”

Ivan said respectfully, then motioned for a maid to bring a simple, elegant white dress.

The style of the dress was simple and elegant. It was clearly worth a pretty penny.

Gianna’s eyes sparkled the moment she saw the beautiful dress.

Could it be that William had thoughtfully prepared a dress for her? Had she finally hit the jackpot?

In that instant, Gianna envisioned herself as Mrs. Kinsman, with everyone in the household bowing and

scraping to her.

This feeling is so good!

“Wow, this dress is a real stunner. Mr. Kinsman is so considerate!” Caroline approached, admiring the

high-end dress. She was over the moon and couldn’t help showering praise.

“Ivan, where’s William? When can I see him?” Although Gianna was on cloud nine, she maintained her

demure little princess facade, asking shyly.

Gianna thought her position as Mrs. Kinsman would be set in stone, and Ivan would treat her with more

respect. However, he didn’t even glance her way.

Ivan’s attitude was as cold as ever, not giving her the time of day.

“Miss Clarke, please put on this dress and head home. Consider it a parting gift from Mr. Kinsman.”

“Ivan, what are you getting at?”

“What do you mean by ‘put on this dress and head home’? Doesn’t Mr. Kinsman want to admit it?”

“As Mr. Kinsman mentioned, he wasn’t at the villa last night. You know best what transpired, but since it

took place in our villa’s backyard if Miss Clarke needs anything, we’ll try our best to accommodate you.”

“William wasn’t at the villa? How’s that possible? He was with me all night. How could I be mistaken?”

Hearing Ivan’s words, Gianna felt like a bolt from the blue had struck her.

What kind of co ck-and-bull story was this?

Last night, William was hypersexual, unable to get enough of her all night. Did he plan to fob her off

with a flimsy excuse upon waking?

No way!

“I’ve relayed the message. Miss Clarke, for the Clarke family’s sake, please cherish your

family’s reputation and let this go.” Ivan still maintained his respectful and polite demeanor. He bowed

slightly to the pair and attempted to leave.

However, as Ivan turned around, Caroline dashed up and clutched his arm.

“Baloney! Mr. Kinsman thinks he can deny it, putting Gianna at a disadvantage? No way! Get William

out here. He needs to give me an explanation today, or I won’t leave!”
