The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 2126

Just as Lysander was about to speak, Zephyr, lost in thought for a moment, suddenly said, “Look, I'm not the stick in the mud you think I am. You two getting hitched? I've got no beef with that. But come on, I'm the old man around here, your granddad for crying out loud. You getting married and not inviting me? That's cold."

Zephyr's sudden change of tone took both Lysander and Thalassa by delightful surprise.

Lysander instructed David, "Get grandpa a seat, a front-row seat!"

David nodded eagerly and scurried off to arrange a premium spot for Zephyr.

As he rushed off, David accidentally tripped over a guest's leg, immediately apologizing, "Oh, my bad, didn't mean to."

Turning around, he saw it was Rosalind!

Her leg was stretched out, clearly on purpose.

Rosalind's lips curled into a smirk, "Just a sorry, that's your way of making it up?"

Seeing that playful look on Rosalind's face, remembering how he had missed his chance at the diner last time, David grew bold, took the seat next to her, leaned in, and quipped, "How about I make it up to you by dedicating myself? Is that commitment enough for you?"

"That's my dad's seat," Rosalind replied with a meaningful glance.

Undeterred, David slung his arm over the back of her chair, his posture suggestive, "Someday, your dad will walk you down the aisle to me anyway. I'm destined for this seat."

"Big dreams, I like it," Rosalind laughed, clearly entertained. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

Meanwhile, on stage, Lysander had just slipped the ring on Thalassa's finger.

Hertha was brought forward and handed over to Alaric.

Taking Hertha's hand, Alaric turned to Ashton and said, "Thank you, sir."

Ashton frowned, "Sir?"

"Thank you, dad!" Alaric quickly corrected himself.

Ashton finally looked satisfied, leaving Alaric with a warning, "I'm trusting you with my daughter. If you ever let her down, know that I'be the first to bring her back home."

"Don't worry, dad. I'll treat her better than I treat myself. I've worked hard to win her heart, no way I'm letting her down," Alaric assured Ashton.

"That's my boy," Ashton said contentedly, then turned and walked off the stage with Julian and Helena.

Alaric, holding Hertha's hand, gazed at her lovingly, "Made me wait so long, I was about to lose my mind."

Hertha, forgetting they were in the middle of their wedding ceremony, playfully smacked him on the head, "What, getting cold feet already?"

Alaric didn't dodge in time and got a solid thump, but he didn't mind the pain; he felt blissful instead.

"Not at all, just can't wait to officially call you my wife," he said, half-joking, half-complaining.

Their playful banter elicited laughter from the guests.

Just then, Alaric's mother, Angelina, stood up from the crowd and loudly addressed Hertha, "What's with this bride, domestic violence on the wedding day?"

Her booming voice instantly drew everyone's attention.

Hertha and Alaric turned toward the voice, spotting Angelina.

Hertha's eyes widened in shock. Oh no, Angelina's here, she thought, surely she's come to ruin our wedding.

Alaric's expression hardened as he tightened his grip on Hertha's hand.

A nosy guest from the crowd called out, "Ma'am, who are you to judge? The young couple is just having a playful moment. You're blowing things out of proportion."
