Chapter 15
Chase’s Point Of View.
I was about to touch the gun I was holding but he quickly took it from my hand and looked at me scared.
“Bro! Don’t kill me!” he shouted. “It’s just a note! That girl doesn’t seem to care about that note either!” he added and I frowned even more.
“She might think I type her or like her!” I shouted angrily and Ryan laughed.
“I stalked her socials and I can say she’s beautiful, Santiago! I’m sure people like her are your type!”
“You stalked her?! For what?!”
“You asked me for her informations! That’s probably what I’ll do,” he explained and I sighed loudly before looking at him again.
“When that girl thinks I like her, you start hiding, Ryan,” I said seriously and he just laughed at me.
“Why don’t you just forget about Anika?”
I looked at him quickly.
“For me, Amelia is better than Anika,” Ryan said.
“You have no right to say that,” I said annoyed.
“I do have, that’s my opinion,” he answered.
“You shouldn’t have said it,” I murmured and sat on the sofa. “You don’t even know Amelia better than Anika who we’ve known all our lives, so how can you say that?”
My eyes narrowed as I looked at Ryan. “Maybe you like Amelia?” I asked seriously causing him to laugh out loud, he even hit my table while laughing out loud.
Crazy man!
“Anika just left you and moved to another country. She ghosted you, bro! She’s worthless,” Ryan said angrily. “And the reason she’ll say is because she doesn’t love you anymore but we both caught her dating a boy right away!”
I was silent.
“Stop defending her, Santiago. I know you still love her, but don’t you feel sorry for yourself? You know you gave her everything but she was still a fool,” Ryan said angrily. “It’s not your fault.”
I looked away and sighed. “Our parents already planned our marriage, it’s a shame,” I said almost in a whisper.
“It’s not a waste because what if you’re married and then she leaves you?” Ryan said annoyed. “Just think that the lord saved you from harm because you and Anika are not really meant for each other.”
I rolled my eyes. “You don’t know what you’re talking about, you don’t even have a girlfriend.”
“I’m just telling you to move on, especially now that you have a child, you’re a father now!”
“Are you saying we should just be a family?” I asked seriously and he scoffed at me.
“If that’s what you want why not?”
I sighed heavily. “You know, Ryan? I just recently found out that I have a children, I was clueless in the past years that I had a twins,” I uttered. “Things are complicated, bro. What Amelia knows is that I did something bad to her but I did it because of my stupid enemies who put drugs in my wine. We don’t know each other very well, what if she has a habit that I don’t like?”
“How about you just get together for the kids?” Ryan asked. “It’s hard to grow up without a complete family,” he added.
“I guess they’ll understand-”
“When? When they’re ten years old?! That’s bullshit!”
“I’m ready to stand up for them, I can give them money weekly so they can live,” I said.
“Not all people need money, what if your children need you?”
I couldn’t answer and just closed my eyes, we talked for a few more minutes and he left. My mind was full of thoughts, but what Ryan said couldn’t get out of my mind.
I wasn’t prepared to be a father, how can I be a good father for them? What Amelia and I have is complicated. And I know it will be difficult for them to understand why that happened.
I also know myself that I still have some love left for Anika, she’s my first love. So when she left me, I was no longer surprised when almost every woman who came into my life was played by me.
I don’t know what to do right now. Do I need to move on and need Anika along with loving her for the sake of Caleb and Aria?
Damn! How can I be a good father if I have planned the family I want to have with Anika? How can I be a good father if Anika is the mother I want for my children?NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
