Chapter 11 Taking the Blame for Him
Chapter 11 Taking the Blame for Him
Early the next morning, Lillian did not wake up until her phone rang. She pressed the answer button and immediately heard the sharp reprimand of her mother-in-law, "Lillian, you are an unfit wife. Sebastian came back drunk in the middle of last night, saying that you made him angry. Get your butt over here and explain it immediately.
"If you are not here in ten minutes, I’ll teach you a lesson!"
Lillian grabbed her hair hurriedly and got out of bed.
Ten minutes?
It would take at least 30 minutes to go to their old house by car even in good traffic!
She had no choice but hastily to get dressed and rushed over there.
Half an hour later.
When Lillian rushed to the gate of Palmer’s house like a gust of wind, Archibald Hawkins just came out from the other side.
He heard a familiar voice and stopped suddenly. Taking a few steps forward, he asked the entrance guard seriously in a charming voice, “Who’s the woman just now?"
The guard might be shocked by Archibald's momentum. He trembled and said, "It's our madam. What the matter?"
She was...Mrs. Palmer!
Archibald suddenly became unhappy and a cold expression instantly showed on his face.
That accounted for it!
"Sir..." The assistant stepped forward cautiously, "Shall we...go back?"
"Check it out. I want all the information of Mrs. Palmer!" Archibald looked angry. His bad temper was like a storm that would come at any time.
The assistant was surprised and wondered what happened to Archibald.
Why did he suddenly want to investigate Mrs. Palmer? Who was she? Maybe she had offended Archibald, hadn’t she?
"Are you deaf ?” He said more harshly and his voice was like a knife to stab people at any time.
"Yes! I will check it right away! "
As Lillian had just entered the hall and did not know the situation inside, a black thing was thrown against her face.
She subconsciously dodged at that moment and heard a crash. A delicate glass was smashed on the door page and broke into pieces. One of the glass fragments flew over and slightly cut the face of Lillian. She immediately felt a pain in her face.
"Damn bitch, what are you still doing there? Get over here and kneel!" Eleanor, Sebastian’s mother pointed at Lillian's and scolded her.
Lillian did not resist and walked over, kneeling in front of Eleanor without any temper. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
In the past three years since she married Sebastian, Eleanor usually purposely make difficulties for her. She had long been used to it.
"Tell me. Why was Sebastian so drunk yesterday? He’s unhealthy for a long time, and his stomach hurt when he came back. As his wife, you did not take care of him, but went to sleep alone, didn’t you? Do
you think you are wrong?"
Lillian frowned and said, "He was drunk? I don't know..."
He went to Joanna's home, which meant that he drank with Joanna. Maybe she made him unhappy? Or maybe being accompanied by such a beauty, he was so excited and drank too much so that he had a stomachache the next day. But why did she have to take the blame for him?
"What? You don't know? Why don't you know?" Eleanor slapped Lillian, "I think I’m so kind to you for a few days but you had gone too much!"
