Chapter 19 You’re the Adulterer!
The live broadcast on the TV flashed twice in the villa of the Sean Family and was turned off.
Halley was furious. A moment ago, he was sure Iverson would never fall in love with Amanda. After all, he was Iverson. What kind of woman could he not have? Would he have taken a fancy to a vulgar married woman?
The next second, Iverson’s appearance was a slap in his face.
“You shameless woman!”
A crisp sound of a slap reverberated throughout the living room, breaking the silence.
Amanda fell to the floor, covering her face, and looked at the angry Mrs. Elder Sean in disbelief.
“The adulterer has come to the door. What else do you want to say?”
Mrs. Elder Sean was so angry that she stamped her feet. Sherry said all kinds of unpleasant words, adding fuel to the fire.
But Amanda just glanced at Halley.
At this moment, the man she had desperately wanted to marry back then didn’t say a word to help her.
Well, it was a fact. Even though Halley had cheated on her, she did have an affair with Iverson, so they were even. She didn’t want to stay in this godforsaken place any longer.
Amanda went straight back to her room to pack her luggage.
“Amanda, where are you going?” Halley frowned and scolded her. “You’ve done something wrong. My mom only said a few words to you. Who’s going to spoil your temper?”
Amanda didn’t want to talk nonsense with him and went straight around the living room.
“Stop!” Mrs. Elder Sean stopped her. “What are you holding in your hand?”
Amanda closed her eyes and suppressed the grievance in her heart. She gritted her teeth and said, “It’s my personal item.”
“This is the Sean Family. My son bought everything for you. Do you have any personal belongings?”
“Since your secret has been exposed, you want to leave after taking something valuable before you leave. Give it to me!”
Sherry rushed up directly to grab her suitcase.
The red suitcase fell to the ground with a clang and cracked in two during the struggle. There was nothing in it except some clothes.
Sherry still didn’t believe it. She kicked that a few times and said, “What poor and broken things? Where are so many things my brother bought for you?”
Amanda stared at the suitcase on the floor and gritted her teeth. Her eyes were filled with regret.
It was a suitcase that was bought by Halley three years ago when she had gotten married, and now it was like her marriage. It had been broken into pieces, and others could laugh at it.
“Where can you go after leaving the Sean Family?”
Halley finally spoke, “Going home? You’ll go back in the end.”
There was no emotion in the cold tone of Halley, only contempt.
“Son, do you see this woman’s face now?” Mrs. Elder Sean snorted and took out a document. “I had expected this day to come.”
Mrs. Elder Sean threw the document on the table. “Amanda, you can leave if you want. Sign your name before you leave.”
Amanda slowly raised her head.
The words “Divorce Agreement” were particularly clear. As she turned to the end, her hands slowly began to tremble.
After three years of marriage, she revived the Sean Group by herself and supported the entire Sean Family. In the end, when she broke up with them, they dared to let her leave with nothing.
After a long silence.
“What if I won’t agree?”
Amanda gritted her teeth and said, “I won’t sign it.”
In front of the Sean Family, Amanda tore the divorce agreement into pieces.
The paper scraps fluttered in the air like snowflakes.
Amanda looked expressionlessly at the three ugly faces in front of her. “Do you think I’m easy to bully? I shall never sign this.”
After that, she turned around and opened the door of Sean’s Villa.
“Stop right there!” Mrs. Elder Sean yelled as she ran up to Amanda and grabbed her. “Don’t even think about leaving without signing.”
“Let me go!”
While they were pushing, Amanda felt a sharp pain in her arm. She gasped but was immediately pulled into her arms by a big hand, and Mrs. Elder Sean, who was pulling her, staggered from the outside.
“Mom!” Halley and Sherry hurried over to support her.
“How dare you push me?”
Mrs. Sean raised her head. A tall figure was like a towering mountain under the sunlight, casting shadows on the ground. The man’s cold eyes frightened her, and she swallowed her curses instantly.
“Who are you?”
“Mr. Byran?” Halley was the first to recognize the man.
Amanda was wrapped up in Iverson’s arms at the moment. It was not until he heard the two words “Mr. Byran” that she looked up and saw the man’s smooth jawline, which looked like a carved hall-level work of art.
Iverson hadn’t left yet.
Amanda pushed him away in a hurry because she didn’t have time to greet him. She lowered her head to hide her embarrassment.
Looking at the palm print on Amanda’s face, Iverson’s eyebrows twitched slightly. “Who hit you?”
His cold voice echoed at the door, and everyone who heard it felt a strong chill.
“Iverson Byran?” Mrs. Elder Sean suddenly came to her senses and blurted out, “You’re that adulterer!”Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
“Adulterer?”
Iverson looked at Mrs. Elder Sean again, looking down at her. The coldness in Iverson’s eyes made her panic.
“Mom! What nonsense are you spouting?”
Halley was scared, and he apologized in a hurry. “Mr. Byran, I’m sorry. That’s not what my mother meant. I know there must be some misunderstanding. I’m sorry for troubling you to explain it to the reporters yourself.”
“Amanda, you’ve made so much trouble. Apologize to Mr. Byran now.”
Halley’s subservient attitude to Iverson was completely different from when he had been roaring at Amanda.
Amanda closed her eyes, and tears rolled down. She felt that she had been blind for the past three years. How could she fall in love with a despicable scumbag who bullied the weak and feared the strong?
“Amanda, what are you waiting for?” Halley tried to pull her away but was blocked by a big hand.
Iverson pulled behind Amanda.
She was stunned for a moment. When she came to her senses, Iverson stood in front of her with a broad back, separating her from the rest of the Sean Family and the curses and humiliations of the past three years.
Stunned, Halley clenched his fists. “Mr. Byran, what do you mean?”
Iverson said, “I’m here to pick up Amanda.”
