Chapter 10
The morning sun was shining brightly.
After breakfast, Elaine drove Julian, Eddy and Evie to Madie Kindergarten.
Before entering, Evie couldn’t help but be captivated by the grand building that resembled a palace.
“Wow, it’s so beautifull Are all the kids here princesses and princes?”
Noticing Evie’s excitement, Elaine shifted her focus to Julian and Eddy, eager to hear their thoughts.
These two exceptionally intelligent boys didn’t have strong opinions about which kindergarten to attend. As long as Evie liked it, they didn’t mind which kindergarten they went to.
The kindergarten principal, Samara Lewis, personally received them and showed them around the entire kindergarten.
“Ms. Gray, our Madie Kindergarten has the best teaching staff and the best facilities in the whole of Denvil City. If your three children attend Madie Kindergarten, they will receive the best education.” Samara exaggerated.
Evie’s eyes sparkled with delight as she flashed a genuine smile. “Mommy, I like this place!”
“You like it?” Elaine gently asked Evie.
It was
Yes. I really like it!” Evie nodded eagerly, ear that she couldn’t wait to start attending this kindergarten.
“Alright then!”
Elaine looked at Samara and asked, “Can we proceed with the enrollment procedures now?”
“Ms. Gray, at Madie Kindergarten, we tailor our teaching to each child’s abilities. Enrollment is just the first step. The second step is to conduct a test to determine which class is most suitable for the children and what kind of education they should receive.”
Upon hearing this, Elaine furrowed her brows and asked, “What kind of test?”
Samara pressed an intercom button, and soon, three teachers entered, each holding a test paper.
“We will use these three sets of test papers to assign the children to different classes based on their scores. The best class is the Rocket Class, followed by the Regular Class. And there’s a more special class called the Stellar Class.”
Elaine was familiar with the Rocket Class and the Regular Class.
What intrigued her was how special the Stellar Class was.
Samara was good at reading people and quickly explained, “The Rocket Class has the best teaching staff and offers bilingual education. Of course, the workload is also the heaviest. The Regular Class is considered a stepping stone, and with good performance, students can advance to the Rocket Class. As for the Stellar Class, it requires a higher sponsorship fee.”
Elaine glanced at Julian, Eddy and Evie.
Julian was clever and extremely intelligent.
Eddy was mischievous and just as smart as Julian.
Only Evie didn’t enjoy studying even though she was also smart
If Evie couldn’t be in the same class as Julian and Eddy, she would definitely be very upset.
Elaine found it incredibly frustrating that, even in a kindergarten setting, the children were already being evaluated and labeled. She couldn’t help but wonder about the potential impact this could have on their young minds.
With a quick glance, Julian assessed the test papers and determined that all the tasks were simple. He had no doubt in his mind that he could answer them all correctly in a mere five minutes.
But Julian knew that Evie might not be able to answer everything perfectly.
Glancing at the unhappy expression on Elaine’s face, he tossed the test paper onto the desk.
Samara frowned and asked, “Julian, what’s wrong?”
“Mommy, let’s go to another kindergarten!” Julian said.
Eddy also had the same idea.
Samara’s snide and cryptic behavior was completely unappealing to him..
Eddy suggested. “Mommy, I think it would be a good idea to visit another kindergarten first and make a comparison.”
Elaine politely smiled at Samara and said, “Sorry, we’ll go check out another kindergarten. If we decide on one, well come back tomorrow to complete the enrollment procedures.”
Evie didn’t understand the underlying complexities and pouted, feeling a bit disappointed.
Eddy approached Evie with a smiling face. “Evie, don’t you like the bunny pencil sharpener I got last time?”
“Eddy, do you want to give it to me?”
Evie was aware that the toy was precious to Eddy.
Evie instantly brightened up and hurriedly ran to Elaine. ‘Mommy, let’s go to see another kindergarten.”
“Do you want to?” Elaine’s face was filled with tenderness, completely different from how she faced others.
A deep-seated tenderness emanated from her, devoted entirely to her three children.
“Of course, I want to!” Evie giggled happily.
Elaine left with Julian, Eddy, and Evie, and behind them came scornful laughter filled with contempt.
“In Denvil City, no kindergarten can compare to ours. I think they’re just afraid of not meeting the requirements for the Rocket Class and being placed in the Stellar Class”
“Yeah! The woman’s attire isn’t even from a well-known brand. Samara, leave them be if they want to leave. It’s a complete. waste of our time and energy!
“All the other children are accompanied by their parents, but those three kids seem to be without a father. Maybe they are b**ards.
The three teachers were all snobbish and sycophantic.
They were trying to comfort and please Samara with such vile language.
Elaine heard the words clearly, her eyes brimming with a concealed rage.
She could tolerate what others said about her, but she couldn’t stand her three children being slandered.
“Apologize!” Julian’s face turned cold, and his tone became serious.
The three teachers sneered, Julian, is this how your mom taught you to speak to teachers?”
“This is exactly how our mom taught us. When we meet polite and well-mannered people, we should treat them with respect. But if we encounter rude people, there’s no need to respect them! Although you are teachers, you are less virtuous than dogs, so we have no obligation to treat you with courtesy!”
In Eddy’s eyes, a chilling light flickered, entirely distinct from the gentle and elegant demeanor he had exhibited earlier.
The three teachers were visibly furious, struggling to keep their composure. They all turned to Elaine, and one of them spoke, gritting her teeth. “Ms. Gray, apologize right now, or else..”
“Or else what?” Julian’s eyes narrowed as he spoke, his voice filled with determination. “Firstly, we are not abandoned children! Secondly, the clothes my mom is wearing were designed by herself, and she is about to host a new product launch. Money is not an issue for us! And thirdly, if you don’t offer us an apology, we will expose the discriminatory treatment we suffered at Madie Kindergarten!”
Samara’s brows furrowed.
Although it was an unspoken agreement, it would be troublesome if it were exposed.
“Ms. Gray, this is just a misunderstanding. How about we both take a step back?” One of the teachers suggested.
Elaine’s face darkened. “There’s no way to take a step back in this matter!”
Elaine really doubted their ability to teach the children as educators. How could they utter such malicious words?
Samara’s face turned ashen. She said, “The three teachers did say some inappropriate things, but if you look at the entire Denvil City, no other kindergarten can compare to us in terms of facilities and teaching staff.
“Ms. Gray, since you are a designer, you should understand the importance of connections. For the future of these three children, please think it through.”
“Are you threatening me?” Elaine’s expression became icy, her eyes full of disdain.
Samara remained silent.
“We’ve finished the exam papers. Listen carefully. We don’t care about your Madie Kindergarten. If you don’t apologize to my mom before this evening, don’t blame us for taking action!” Julian threw his completed exam paper in front of Samara and pulled Elaine’s hand, saying, “Mommy, let’s go!”
After being confronted, the teachers, whose brains were somewhat frozen, finally snapped back to reality from their embarrassment.
“Samara, how could he be able to complete the exam so quickly
“It’s impossible, absolutely impossible!”
Samara’s gaze fell on the last question of the exam paper.Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
The test in Madie Kindergarten’s Rocket Class was equivalent to third-grade elementary school exam in terms of difficulty. In every entrance exam, almost no one was able to solve the last question.
However, Julian not only answered the last question but also provided three different solutions
Moreover, he accomplished that within the brief span of their conversation.
Julian was such a genius!
“I want to see if this arrogant child wrote those answers recklessly! One of the three teachers said.
Samara did not stop that teacher.
The three teachers looked at this nearly perfect answer sheet, their expressions quite shocked.
“His answer was perfect!”
“Maybe only Julian was clever, and the other two must not be so talented!”
“But they are triplets. They shouldn’t be too different from each other.”
The three teachers were somewhat frustrated.
If these three children could enter their kindergarten’s Rocket Class, they would definitely shock the entire Denvil City
“Now, should we think about how to deal with the apology issue they mentioned?”
“Yes, indeed! That child’s eyes were fierce, and he didn’t seem to be joking!”
The atmosphere in the office became somewhat dull.
On the other side, Elaine took Julian, Eddy, and Evie to Sunshine Kindergarten.
While not as renowned as Madie Kindergarten, Sunshine Kindergarten exuded a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
There was a medium-sized flower bed, which was said to have been planted by the teachers and children together, carrying a lot of memories.
Evie liked flowers and quickly forgot about Madie Kindergarten.
There was no Rocket Class or Stellar Class here, just classes based on age.
And the teachers here were friendly and kind.
Elaine looked at the kids and asked, “Do you like it here?”
“Mummy. I’m fine with it,” Julian said seriously.
“As long as Evic likes it, I like it too!” Eddy smiled and looked at Evie.
Looking at these two contrasting brothers, Mabel Walker, the principal, had a smile on her face.
“Mommy, I really like it here! I just saw a teacher teaching the children how to play the piano!” Evie said.
Mabel said, “At Sunshine Kindergarten, we pay great attention to cultivating the children’s interests. We have three interest classes every week.”
Elaine nodded and said to Julian, Eddy, and Evie in a consultative tone, “Then let’s proceed with the enrollment procedures.”
“Okay!”
Julian, Eddy and Evie said in unison.
They were placed in the Dolphin Class, with Rhonda Clark as their teacher, whom everyone referred to as “Ms. Clark.”
After that, Elaine took the kids to the Sevier Group.
“Today, you must not go to another place without asking for permission. Do you understand?”
As soon as they entered the office, Elaine said sternly to the kids.
“We understand!”
Elaine glanced at Martin.
‘Elena, I checked the company’s surveillance footage. Evie’s wrist injury has nothing to do with the people from the company.
“Yes, I already knew that!”
“Have they explained it to you?” Martin was quite surprised.
“Yes! Yesterday, these three mischievous kids actually bought a cake with their pocket money and gave me a big surprise. Honestly, it felt so heartwarming.”
“Really?”
As Martin listened to Elaine’s description of how Julian, Eddy, and Evie bought a cake and celebrated their move, a smile appeared on his face.
“They really are mature beyond their years. Martin suppressed his smile and asked, “Lamia’s solo concert is this Saturday. Have you really decided to go?”
*Martin, everyone has to pay the price for their own mistakes!” Elaine’s eyes turned cold as she said, “Especially Lamia. She brought it upon herself, which is equivalent to stealing!”
At that moment, a cellphone ringtone relieved the dull atmosphere.
