Gordon paused in the act of cutting up the medicinal herbs. Then, he explained. “My mother has moved back home from the hospital. They can’t.

Was that what he had been so busy with lately?

Gordon did not continue on the subject. He turned around and wrapped up the
herbs.
Only then did Mayra realize that she had said something wrong.
Gordon’s mother had gotten a kidney transplant in the end, and she survived. She would probably be fine, right?
Mayra knew that this would happen, but she couldn’t say so. She couldn’t. intervene either. What if… things changed? Even though she had been reborn

Gordon suddenly turned around while holding the bowl of medicine, and he almost bumped into her. “There’s no television at my house. You can go to m

Time went by slowly, and by the time they were almost done with the

photoshoot, Isabel was tired. However, she felt that the fatigue was worth it, and she was happy.
The makeup assistant brought her phone over. “Ms. Fisher, you have a call.”
Isabel sat in front of the dressing table, getting ready to change. She picked up the call. “Yes, Mom. The shoot is almost done.”
“Will you be back for dinner?”
“I’ll have to ask Andy. He’ll probably come. He doesn’t have any other plans after the shoot ends.”

Isabel knew how much Anderson cared about the younger sister whom he had practically raised.
“I shouldn’t have told her that we were taking our engagement photos together. Otherwise… she wouldn’t have gotten triggered and left.”

“Why don’t we pause the shoot, Andy? Getting Mayra back is the most important thing. I mean, what if something happens to her?”
There was a cold flash in Anderson’s deep eyes. “She has to accept this sooner or later. It has nothing to do with you. We’ll continue with the shoot.”
Shane said, “I’ll go and look for Ms. Mayra.”
“Nobody is allowed to go and look for her. If anything happens, she can bear the consequences herself,” Anderson said sternly.
