Chapter 28
Chapter 28 Are You Gay?
It's Emily again.
It's her again!!
Why is she always being compared to Emily?!
She's a wealthy woman with a college degree, everything she wears, eats, and uses is branded. Why should she even be mentioned in the same breath as Emily, a girl from the slums?
Sophia's chest heaved with anger, but she couldn't afford to fall out with Carol just yet. She had to endure until she officially became Mrs. Reed, until she married Nathan.
Sophia took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Fine, I'll call someone to fix it."
"No, that's too expensive," Carol rolled her eyes. "We have money, but we can't just throw it away. It's just a toilet, not a big deal."
Sophia scoffed, "Carol, calling a repairman isn't that expensive."
"No, all the money comes from Nathan's hard work. You don't work, you don't get to decide how to spend it," Carol muttered, complaining under her breath. "You spend Nathan's money on luxury items every day, do you think I don't know? Even Emily doesn't spend that much money."
Sophia closed her eyes, feeling like she was about to explode. "You used my perfume?"
"The toilet smelled awful, so I used your perfume to spray it," Carol huffed. "What's the big deal?"
Those perfumes were limited edition Bulgari!
"You used my stuff, at least tell me first!"
Carol shrugged, unimpressed. "Your stuff? They were bought with my son's money. What's the harm in me using them?"
Stay calm, don't lose your temper, just endure...
Sophia decided to leave.
"I have something to do, I'm going out."
"If you leave now, who's going to fix the toilet?" Carol called after her.
Sophia walked out coldly, without looking back. "I'll call someone to fix it myself, don't worry, I'll pay for it myself."
Thankfully, Nathan bought her a car. Today, she even transferred the ownership of the car to her name, or else she would have had to take a taxi!
Sophia drove away.
Carol's shouts faded behind her. "Be careful with the baby! don't drive too fast."
Baby? Carol was only worried about the child in her belly. Once the child was born, she might not even have to deal with her.
Do housework?
No way!
Sophia was destined to be a wealthy man's wife for the rest of her life, not a maid!
She drove far away, and her phone rang.
She parked the car and tears welled up in her eyes as she saw the caller ID: "Mom, when are you coming back? I'm being bullied here."
The caller was Sophia's biological mother, Grace. Hearing her daughter's distressed cry, Grace was also very worried. "I won't be able to come back until next month at the earliest. You didn't quarrel with the Reed family, did you?" Sophia sniffed. "No, I listened to you, I endured it."
"That's good, for our future, let's endure it for now."
Sophia could only nod. "Mom, Emily has found a doctor. She found out that the doctor gave her a fake examination report, and Nathan seems to still like her. I'm really scared..."
Grace comforted her, "Don't worry, that doctor is a good friend of mine for many years. Even if she finds out about the fake report, she won't say anything."
"...Okay, then I'll feel relieved."
They talked for a while longer before Sophia reluctantly hung up the phone.
She tried calling Nathan, but he hung up on her.
Sophia was so angry that she threw her phone onto the back seat and drove to the company.
In Room 2307 of the Hilton Hotel, Emily glanced at the clock on the wall. It was already eight thirty, Mr. Satan should be back soon.
She got up to turn off all the lights in the room, browsing makeup tutorial courses while waiting for him to return.
After a while, she found herself distracted, unable to focus on anything. She had spent the day searching for Mr. Satan's true identity using his license plate number, and her mind was in turmoil. She decided to quit the course and directly search for Allen Parker's information.
There wasn't much information about Allen Parker online, mostly just financial news.
It was clear that Allen Parker was a savvy businessman, with a keen sense of smell, and many celebrities almost all came from his company.
"What are you looking at?"
She was so engrossed in her search that she didn't even hear Mr. Satan come back, startling her so much she almost threw her phone away.
Emily felt a bit guilty, turning off the screen and tossing it aside. "You're back, I'll make you dinner."
"Mmm," Mr. Satan loosened his tie and hugged her from behind. "Emily, are you so curious about my identity?"
Emily froze.
She had forgotten that Mr. Satan knew everything about her, how could he not know she had checked his car?
"I..." she bit her lip, unsure how to explain.
Mr. Satan's kiss landed on the nape of her neck. "I've told you, when the time is right, I'll tell you. I'm not Allen Parker, stop wasting your efforts, hmm?" Emily felt her heart pounding.
Investigating someone's privacy was indeed wrong.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
But Mr. Satan didn't seem to mind, instead asking her, "Let me see, what delicious things did you make today?"
Emily was held by him from behind as they went to the kitchen together.
"Pasta and steak," Emily said. "All your favorites."
Mr. Satan was very satisfied. "Good."
His hand slid around her waist, then slowly climbed up.
Wasn't this the reaction a gay man should have when facing a woman?
Emily held his wandering hand. "Um...can I ask you a question? Nothing to do with your identity."
"Mmm, go ahead."
"Are you...gay?"
Mr. Satan burst into laughter, then indulgently rubbed her nose. "I'll let you find out right now if I'm gay or not."
