Owned By The Alpha Brothers

Chapter 35

The Luna, afraid that she might lose the Alpha's heart as well as everything she had worked hard for all these years, had no other choice but to stop the game she was playing.

For the first time in over a decade, her husband, the Alpha, had yelled at her and ordered her out of his presence. She had ended up apologizing and offering to give him a body massage, but he had rejected it and had also refused to speak to her or even lay his eyes on her.

To make matters worse, her son, Alden, had also shunned her and didn't even care to hear her side of the story. She never cared about other people's opinions, but she did care a lot about what Alden thought of her, and so, she was even more convinced to do what she believed to be the right thing.

"Greetings, Luna. You sent for me," Samantha, Blake's first love whom she had invited over, stepped in looking even more radiant in a yellow floral summer dress and white sandals. Her dark hair was packed in a messy bun and her blissful smile revealed the gorgeous dimples the Moon Goddess herself had blessed her with.

"Greetings, Samantha. I don't have much to say. Pack up your things and leave the palace immediately," the Luna ordered.

Samantha was taken aback and the smile dried off from her lips. "I don't understand, did I do something wrong?" she asked innocently.

"No, you didn't. However, the Masquerade ball has been long over and you have overstayed your welcome," the Luna retorted.

"You said I was to stay for at least one month, long enough to win Blake's heart once again and make Ciara stop desiring him," Samantha protested.

"Well, I've changed my mind. Your services are no longer needed," Luna Vienna stated.

Samantha looked downcast and instead of turning around and leaving in tears like the Luna had expected, she instead began to pace slowly around the Luna's bedroom, stopping in front of the window where she wiped a non-existent speck of dust.

The Luna assumed that she was probably trying to process things first, when to her sudden surprise, Samantha began to laugh hysterically and even after several minutes had passed, she continued laughing so hard. "What's wrong with you?" the Luna screamed.

"What's wrong with me? No, Luna. I should be asking you that question. Do you think that I'm prepared to leave the palace anytime soon? Huh? Do you really think that? Oh, please. You of all people can't be that naïve," she said, as the laughter died down and she faced the Luna squarely.

Shockingly, the Luna was quite terrified. It surprised her that someone so young, someone not close to her in any way, would make her feel so terrified.

"What do you mean?" the Luna asked, trying to put on a brave face.

"I was living miserably, filled with great regrets because I chose a lowlife over a prince. My life was hell and I spent years in torment and torture. However, I persevered, knowing fully well that one day, the Moon Goddess would smile on me, and guess what: You showed up at my door suddenly one day, giving me the opportunity of a lifetime," she said, then paused for a while to stare blankly at the door before directing all her attention to Luna Vienna once again. Samantha lowered her head and looked the Luna right in her eye; unflinching, confident. "Do you really think that I would miss out of the opportunity you yourself gave to me? Of course not! Now that I have been rescued and now have my whole life in front of me, I won't make the same mistake again. I won't leave Blake alone and I would stay right by his side until he opens his heart up to me once again," she concluded, her voice laced with determination. She then turned around to walk out, when the Luna stood up and made her an incredible offer.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

"Twenty gold bars. Take that, leave the palace and never return," the Luna offered.

Samantha stopped right in her tracks and scoffed, then proceeded to keep walking away.

"Fifty! Hundred gold bars! One hundred and fifty gold bars! Three hundred gold bars! Samantha, name your price!" the Luna pleaded, desperate.

Samantha swiftly turned back around. "I don't need your money," she retorted.

"Fine then! I'll help you get Blake, but not within the palace. The Alpha found out about my plans and I need to show him I have changed my ways and I can only do that if you, whom I have planted to ruin things for Blake and Ciara, are sent away!" Luna Vienna explained.

"Sorry, but not sorry. Do you really think Blake is my endgame in all of this? Blake is just a means to an end. What I want is what you have," she said.

"And what exactly might that be?" a confused Luna inquired.

"The position of the Luna."

"But that's impossible. You already know Ciara is destined to be the future Luna. All she has to do is choose one of the brothers who would end up as the Alpha."

"What if she chooses Alden and he forfeits the throne to Blake?" Samantha asked; an evil grin plastered on her face.

"Are you trying to say "

"Yes, I'm saying exactly what you think that I am saying. You wanted Ciara to choose to be with your son. I'll make that possible, but make sure he gives up the throne to Blake when that happens," Samantha said, but in a very commanding

tone.

The Luna couldn't believe her ears. Perhaps, she had been too lenient with the girl and that was why she was speaking to her in that manner. It was time to remind her who the boss was and exert her authority.

"I can't do that! You can't make me do that! I have heard enough of this bullshit! Take your things and leave this palace right this minute, or "

"Or what?" Samantha asked, eyeing her from head to toe, distastefully.

"Or I would have the guards evacuate you out of the palace forcefully," the Luna threatened.

Samantha smirked. "Go ahead. Do that and see what becomes of you after I've revealed your secret," she said, and with a scornful chuckle, she turned around and left the Luna's bedroom.

Luna Vienna clenched her fists in anger, feeling nothing but hatred for the girl she had thought was her ally. Screaming with extreme rage, she turned the whole room upside down; breaking flower vases, overturning the bed, emptying the contents of her drawers and so on, but that didn't make her feel any better.

She needed to get rid of Samantha as quickly as possible before she went around running her mouth to everyone who cared to listen. Blake's mother had tried to also keep her on her toes with this same secret, and look where she had ended up- exiled with no hope of returning back to the Silver Crest Pack.

In the same way, she would ruin Samantha's life, but for now, it was best to go with the flow and let her think she had won so that when she finally struck, it would be a nightmare Samantha would never ever wake up from.
