Chapter 54
"Hello," Alex said over the phone.
"Alex, are you ok?" I said.
"Filli, of course I am." He sounded happy over the phone. "How are you? Congratulations on the twins."
"Thank you. Alex, you need to be on guard. My father is going to try and replace you. I think he is going to kill you." I sounded panicked. "What? How do you know this?" he asked.
"This may sound crazy, but my son showed me a vision." I told him. Silence took over the phone.
"Alex are you there?" Vincent said. "Alex!"
"I'm here, and you are right. He just attacked our boarders," he said.
"No!" I yelled. I turned to "Vincent, we must help."
"Alex, pull all your wolves into the pack house and fortify it the best you can." Vincent said. "We will be there soon."
There was a click on the phone, and he was gone.
Vincent was linking the warriors on the border to be ready to move. Other warriors were getting into cars to go.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Drake. Can your group fly some of us there?" I asked.
"Yes, but only eight at a time," he responded.
"That is fine. I need to get there and Vincent," I said.
"I'll go with you." Reagan said.
"No, just in case he changes, we need you here to protect the kids." I said and Reagan nodded.
"John and some of the warriors stay behind. Michael was at the border and will do some recon for us." Vincent added. "Cole," I started.
"I have already sent my warriors and if he is attacking a pack under my protection, he is attacking me." Cole said.
"Thank you." I told him. "Drake, can you take us there and return to defend the Violet Moon pack?"
"Of course, I have everyone ready outside." Drake said, moving to the door. He gave Reagan a kiss and headed outside.
Last time he shifted I was passing out, but he was breathtaking. It would be strange to fly instead of run, but it is something we currently have no choice in. Everyone was climbing on to one of their dragons.
I climbed onto Drake and whispered, "Don't drop me but hurry."
With that he took to the sky, the others following him. We could see Violet Moon's warriors in the cars and the ones that were running. We passed them both. Soon we could see Dark Moon's pack boarder warriors fighting. Most were losing. It was hard not to stop. I used my mind and pushed forward, killing 4 of them. The pack house had a second defense waiting.
"Drake and your family, see the gap near the back of the house, land there." I said though magic.
They all swooped behind the house, dropped us off and left. To head back to the Violet Moon pack.
"Thank you. Please protect my family." I said over the link to Drake as he flew away.
"Our family." He replied and he was out of sight.
Either we were not detected, or my father's pack was too determined to retreat. I pushed forward trying to find my father, but I couldn't.
Alex came crashing through the door. "I must help them. They are being killed."
"Send in your second group surrounding the house. My warriors are 5 minutes out." Vincent said, "they will be fighting on both sides soon. We took them by surprise."
"I can't locate my father. If anyone sees him let me know." I spoke.
"Why can't you just kill them all," Amanda came out of the house screaming.
"It would drain too much power," I replied. "I also have not located my father. But I have an idea."
"Everyone go help at the border. Leave me here if I can't find him. I will have him come to me. Tell all you meet that if they give up the weak alpha of the rogues, their lives will be spared. If not, I will kill them all." I hope someone will give him up.
I used my magic to push the message to everyone I could find. Amanda stayed at the pack house with the elderly and children as she was not a warrior. Everyone from my pack had left to help in the fighting.
I used my powers to search again, finding nothing. In anger, I reached out and killed four rogues that were getting closer to the house. I needed to think. I couldn't wait here and do nothing. This battle needed to stop, and it needed to end in my father's death. "How could he just let his pack die for him?" Sasha said. That is it. He could let rogues die for his but if Cole recognized him as an Alpha, he would feel each death. I linked Cole. "I need you back here."
"I am a bit busy killing rogues at the moment," he replied.
"It will end this battle." I sent him back and used my powers to blow him towards the house.
"I'm coming." He replied. He came through the door with a bang. "What!?!"
"I need you to recognize my father as a real Alpha," I said.
"What? He will gain power and communication," Cole said.
"He will also gain the pain of every pack member that has pledged himself," he won't be able to ignore it.
"OK," Cole and I went to the kitchen. Mrs. Loveta was busying herself.
"Fillian, What?" she began.
"We need a knife, quick," I said.
"No, he is here, she whispered." It was so quiet I almost didn't catch it as she removed the knife.
"Wait!" I yelled.
"What now?" Cole growled. "Are we doing this or not?"
I formed the link to Mrs. Loveta. "Where?"
She looked at me in shock but responded "Your room. It has.."
Amanda was behind her. She had snapped her neck and said, "I never liked her cooking any way."
"Amanda! What are you doing?" I replied.
"You need to get what you deserve." She said, lunging at me with a syringe. Cole jumped in front of me. Before, I could use my magic, but when I tried to throw her with my powers it didn't work. Then I saw it. A small rune on the bracelet she wore. Cole took the syringe and screamed in pain. I shifted, and Sasha linked Marcus and Vincent.
"He is in the house and Amanda is a traitor. She may have killed Cole. I need you back now. Bring Alex." I said.
Amanda had run the moment it went into Cole. I shifted back and knelt next to him. "You will be ok. I know it hurts. Just rest for a bit. I need to kill some wolves."
One of the Omegas I used to work with came through the door. I asked, "Sara, can you take care of him? He had been injected with wolfsbane. See if you can link the doctor for help."
She shook her head, and I took the back stairs as fast as I could. "Where are you? I know you are both still here. You are scrawny, lazy pieces of s**t. You would let everyone die for your power. Come out and fight me."
A growl came from my side. Amanda had shifted. I quickly let Sasha take over. She got a little scratch on our side but Sasha was quick to rebound off the wall and get behind her, taking a last bit into her neck, ending Amanda's life.
I heard Alex scream. "No!! Why, why would you?" at first I thought he was talking to me, but he was yelling at her cradling his mate who was no longer on this earth.
"Tell him I'm sorry." I linked Vincent. "I have to meet my father."
Vincent nodded. "I love you."
"I love you too," I replied.
Sasha headed to my old room. He wasn't there but his scent was. Sasha went into tracking mode. She ran after the scent. She may not be a large Luna, but she was fast. My father's wolf was caught in no time.
We caught up with him in the meadow where I chose to leave Dark Moon. Where Katie and I had picnicked. I shifted so he could hear me. "Coward!" I used my powers to make my voice loud that everyone within 6 miles could hear. "You let your pack die and run in the other direction. If your pack can hear me, stop fighting now. You will be allowed to join another pack along the trail. If not, you will die. This is your last chance. Violet Moon's second group of pack warriors had just arrived. We now overtook them in numbers. This made my father stop and growl at me.
"We end this here. You and me, no one is to interfere, it is the goddess's wish," I yelled.
Vincent came over to me with a robe, but I shook it off and shifted into Sasha. Other rogues were showing up but not attacking. They were there to see if their alpha was really fleeing. They stayed to watch the fight.
Vincent pet Sasha's head and we walked into the middle of the circle. We paced back and forth waiting for him to attack. One of his men who had shifted yelled, "Come on already. You are no Alpha of mine if you are scared to fight this little pup."
He growled at that and lunged. We used his anger to my advantage and moved out of the way, swiping at his side. Contacting his ribs. We saw the rune on his neck which protected him from my magic. I slowly went to the back and let Sasha have full control. She was amazing. We were a little scratched up, but we were making large marks on my father. It was a lot of clawing and gnashing of teeth. Time seemed to go so slowly. But Sasha saw the death kill opening we needed as she lunged. Pain took over us and she dropped.
Our father saw this and lunged. We moved out of the way but got a good s***h in our side. Sasha linked our pack. "Find the warlock."
