Mr Grant, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 107 Hate this kind of people most

When Blanca began to turn away, someone bumped into her from behind. She lost her balance and fell to the ground. Her elbow hit the wall and suddenly she felt a pain. “Ouch!” she cried. Blanca lifted her head and saw a young woman holding a glass of water in front of her. To Blanca’s surprise, the young woman made no apology for what she had done. Instead, she sneered, “Who does this guy think she is? I hate this kind of people most. I can’t understand why they would sell themselves just for a job.” As soon as she said, everyone burst out laughing.

Blanca was now white with rage. She had got deep abrasions and bruising on the elbow, but she didn’t care about that. She picked up the papers on the ground and stood up. A faint smile played on her face. “Is that funny?” she said.

And the surprising thing was, the laughter of the crowd died away.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“Tell you the truth. You are right. I am here because I have a very close relationship with someone. If you’re not happy with it, you can resign right now,” Blanca said with a smile on her face. She put her hands on a table and leaned forward, looking at the middle-aged woman. “You guys worked here longer than I. I’m sure you all know its strict rules. If the chairman knows you work lazily and bully new colleague, do you have any idea what he is going to do with you?” said Blanca seriously. Her voice was quiet but every word was clearly heard.

The middle-aged woman’s face went white and said in alarm, “You, you’re not making any sense. No one is bullying you!”

A smile touched Blanca’s lips for she knew they were afraid. She was about to leave. At this time, Louise, surrounded by many colleagues, walked in. Her click of high-heels echoed in the office. When Louise walked into the room, everyone put on a big smile immediately.

Louise’s black eyes swept the office haughtily then fell on Blanca. Her gloating smile froze and her face changed a little. “Why are you still here, Mrs. Grant?” she sneered.

Everyone there was astounded. They couldn’t believe what they heard. Was Blanca the legendary Mrs. Grant? They all were too embarrassed to say a word.

The middle-aged woman went rather pale. She knew she was in great trouble this time, for she just bullied the wife of the Chairman! For a while, she managed a smile and said, “Sorry, Mrs. Grant. Please forgive me for my being rude. I’m so stupid that I didn’t know who you are. Please, please don’t fire us!” She begged. It looked like she was about to cry.

“Don’t worry. I’m not going to get angry for such a little thing,” said Blanca coldly. Then she left without looking at Louise.

Louise stared after her and stamped her feet with anger. In her heart, Blanca didn’t deserve Matthew at all and was nothing but a no-good bitch! Especially, when Louise saw Blanca wearing those precious suits, she got insanely jealous. She vowed to herself that Blanca should pay for her undeserved luck someday.
