Luna of the Cursed Alpha King (Helga and Siegren)

Luna Of The 109

"GOOD MORNING," Helga greeted as soon as she saw Siegren getting dressed. However, he simply looked at her and carried on with buttoning his shirt without acknowledging her greeting.

"Siegren?" Helga's voice echoed through the room, tinged with confusion and concern. She tilted her head to the side, trying to understand why he was acting this way. Then it hit her— his disappointemnt from last night. Slowly, she slid off the bed and approached him, her expression filled with worry and regret. She knew she needed to make things right before starting their day. "I'm sorry, are you still upset? I know it was wrong for me to agree with Riovanni's plans without consulting you first, so how about we talked about it now, hmm?" She wrapped her arms around him from behind, interrupting Siegren's focus on buttoning the last button of his shirt. He stood still for a moment, his mind consumed with thoughts of the previous night. The memory of Helga making a decision without consulting him still lingered, causing a knot in his stomach. It wasn't that she acted rashly, but rather that she had put so much trust in Riovanni's words. Siegren wanted to voice his concerns after that, but before he could do so, David appeared and announced that they needed to return to the banquet for a celebratory speech. With that distraction, Siegren lost his opportunity to bring up the issue as political talks took precedence at the time.C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

"There's no time for that, we have to get ready because we're having breakfast with them." His response was distant and icy, causing Helga to purse her lips and release her grip on his body. She knew she had made a mistake this time, but the main reason she agreed to Riovanni's proposal was because she wanted to meet her parents. She hoped that by doing so, she could find out if her mother could help break Siegren's curse.

"All right, I'm sorry. I'll get ready," she said before walking but she didn't get far when she heard Siegren sigh and before she knew it, he was already holding her hand in his, pulling her to a stop. She turned to face him and waited expectantly for what he was about to say. When he didn't say anything, Helga began to grow impatient since it was obvious he was in deep thought over something.

"What's wrong?" she asked, making him sigh again.

"Let's talk after you take a bath, we still have thirty minutes anyway," he replied, and Helga just nodded with a slight smile on her face before heading to the bathroom. As soon as she entered, she took all of her clothes and began taking a bath. They had a lot to talk and surely, 30 minutes wasn't enough for them to get through everything they needed to discuss. For that reason, she made sure to quickly finish up. Once finished,

she threw on her bathrobe and headed out to where her clothes were neatly laid out on the bed.

Her heart fluttered as she looked at Siegren, who was sitting on the sofa with a document in hand. Despite being upset, he still took care of her needs. It brought a smile to her face and she thanked him, but he simply nodded in response. She then proceeded to change clothes before sitting at the vanity table to do her hair and makeup.

"Can we talk while I'm getting ready?" she asked, her eyes flicking up to meet his reflection in the mirror. Siegren's gaze shifted towards her, and he gave a curt nod before placing the papers on the table. He stood up and made his way over to the vanity table, standing beside it as Helga continued applying her makeup. She couldn't help but feel a bit shy as she was not used to having someone observe her beauty routine aside from Portia.

"Let's start with the most important question: why did you agree to his plan? You were aware of the numerous dangers involved." He stood tall, crossing his arms tightly against his chest as he watched her. Despite the tension between them, he couldn't bear to get upset at her for long, knowing it would only make her feel lonely. So instead, he fixated on her ethereal beauty, letting it wash over him like a soothing balm. Her delicate features and graceful movements had a way of calming him down, even in the midst of his inner conflicts.

"I know, of course, I know that," she said, glancing up at him for a brief moment before she returned her gaze to the mirror. His watchful eyes made her feel self-conscious, but she tried to push it out of her mind and continued, "But the thought of potentially finding my parents and helping you in breaking the curse made me believe that it is worth taking the risk." "Besides, didn't you catch what he said about the crimes of the previous Lycan King?” she added, “In my opinion, everything he revealed to us last night was completely true. I mean, I can't think of any other reason why he would share his plan with us if he had malicious intentions."

"What if he did that to deceive us? He wanted me to attack his pack but what if that was just a trap?" Siegren's eyes narrowed suspiciously as he asked the question. Helga paused, her thoughts racing as she considered his words. Of course, she had already thought of that possibility. The plan laid out by Riovanni was filled with risks, but he had yet to reveal all the details. She didn't want to dwell on any potential negative outcomes until she knew more.

"We should reserve judgment until we hear the specifics of his plan," she said, unsure if she was making any sense, but she hoped Siegren would at least understand the point she was trying to make. She let out a deep sigh and reached out to touch his hand, her eyes softening as she continued speaking. "We should resume our conversation with him from where we left off last night. If you still have doubts, we can simply decline his offer and move on."

Siegren remained silent for a second, there's still a lot of things he wanted to say to her and convince her that she shouldn't let her guard down around Riovanni but he couldn't find the right words and ended up nodding. Helga smiled at him before turning back to continue applying her makeup.

"I do think his father would be our real enemy here. After all, he was the one who attacked our pack and ruined my life,” she said, but then she was surprised as Siegren gently removed the towel from her head, revealing a tangled mess of wet hair. She was speechless when he reached out and took the brush on the table, his touch surprisingly gentle while carefully combing through her hair as if that was the most natural thing ever.

"I'll help you get ready." he said, causing her to smile, "And I agree with what you said, whicg is why I don't feel at ease with the idea of sending you back to Narva. What if the previous Lycan King had already harmed you before I could even launch an attack on their pack and rescue you?"

Helga gazed at his reflection and smiled, knowing how much he was worried. She understood him, but it didn't change the fact that she was willing to take any risk just tp help him break the curse.

"I had always seen Riovanni as an enemy because of our past, but when I met him again and saw the desperation in his eyes, my perception changed. I couldn't help but feel sympathy for him and wanted to give him a chance to prove himself. Surely, he must have a plan in mind."
