Chapter 12: I'll Show You
Chapter 12: I'll Show You
A short while after they walked into the shop, I could not resist following them. I saw one of the
employees enthusiastically showing them a few top designs.
Seeing me walk in, another employee came up to me and smiled. "Hello, miss. Are you here to pick a
wedding gown? You have a great figure, and we have a few designs that would really suit you."
I nodded. "I'll just take a look around."
Even as I spoke, my eyes were trained on Leonard and Phoebe's every move. Coincidentally, Leonard
happened to catch sight of me when he turned around.
His face immediately darkened. It was as if he could predict that something bad would happen with my
sudden appearance.
After taking a look around, Phoebe selected a floor-length gown and asked to try it on.
She followed the employee and turned to head into the fitting room when she saw me. She looked a
little surprised.
"Oh, Queena, what a coincidence. What are you doing here?"
Phoebe had always been great at keeping up appearances. She took the initiative to greet me and
even made sure that she looked pleasantly surprised.
"It's not really a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason." I glanced at Leonard casually, then
continued, "Mr. Nell, how many times have you come here to pick out a wedding gown?"
Phoebe looked a little confused at my words. Leonard, on the other hand, shot me a frosty look. He
looked like he wanted to eat me up.
I knew that he would not act up in front of so many people, so I was being more bold than usual.
"Queena, what are you talking about?" Phoebe looked a little upset. She turned to Leonard and said,
"Leonard, have you two met before?"
"No, we haven't. Our first meeting was at your house," Leonard answered.
His attitude did not bother me. It was all within my expectation. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
However, being able to upset Phoebe could be considered as achieving my goal.
"It's not a big deal. After all, it's only normal for Queena to be a little upset that I've managed to find
such a wonderful fiancé before her..."
Phoebe was talking to Leonard, but it was obvious that her words were meant for my ears. She wanted
to use my misfortune to show off her own happiness.
At this time, the employee asked Phoebe to proceed to the fitting room. Pretending to be generous, she
said to Leonard, "Leonard, why don't you talk to Queena and give her some advice while I'm gone?"
Leonard smiled, seemingly happy to do so. The moment Phoebe turned and walked into the fitting
room, his face turned dark.
He glared at me. "Queena, have you forgotten what I told you? Don't provoke me, or I'll make things
extremely ugly for you!"
I chuckled. "Why should I listen to you? It's not like there's anything between us. In fact, I'll do the exact
opposite of what you want me to do!"
"You..." Leonard was furious, but he had to control himself because of our current situation. He said
through gritted teeth, "You'd better make sure you don't end up in my hands. Or I'll show you!"
"Show me what?" I deliberately took a step forward and looked at him with my head held high.
Leonard was just about to lose his temper when Phoebe suddenly stepped out of the fitting room, the
employee following her with a smile.
