Chapter 13 I Find It Dirty

Clarissa did not know why Damien suddenly asked that question. Nevertheless, continued with her lie.

“My ex-boyfriend or my current one?”

Damien sneered. He did not expect her to attract so many men.

“How many boyfriends did you have?”

“Just two.”

Two? “Just”?

“Your current boyfriend. What’s his name?” Damien asked with a hoarse voice.

Coming up with a person’s name was hard. It was then Clarissa remembered “Joseph Moore”, who

had requested to follow her earlier.

Hence, she answered without any hesitation, “Joseph Moore.”

The world was huge. It was unlikely Damien would be acquainted with a random person named Joseph

Moore, right?

“His last name is Moore?” Damien frowned.

“Yes. Do you have any business with him, President Lawrence?” Clarissa asked confidently.

Damien ordered, “You’re not allowed to have sex with him during the period of our contract! I find it

dirty.”

The word “dirty” immediately made Clarissa’s face red. She was like an unwanted second-hand item.

That insult made her extremely uncomfortable.

Clarissa said solemnly, “Don’t worry, President Lawrence. I have a good work ethic. I’m aware of the

dos and don’ts. Besides, he’s interning in another state and won’t return for a while. Even if I want to

have sex, it’s impossible.” The atmosphere no longer felt right.

Her soft body reminded Damien of their first night together, but her frigid behavior might have turned

him off.

Damien understood something that night. This intern was unpredictable.

He could not fall into her trap. Otherwise, she would take advantage of him and become more

unrestrained.

Damien let go of Clarissa.

His action reaffirmed to Clarissa that he fancied Madelynn before. He probably had mistaken her for

Madelynn when he was drunk that night. Her mentioning Madelynn’s name had made Damien

unhappy. Originally, he was not going to have sex that night but changed his mind after getting

agitated.

“I’m going to sleep.”

After saying that, Clarissa turned around and slept facing another side. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Luckily, Damien did not have sex with her. After all, he did not bring condoms. If they were to have sex,

she would have to take contraceptives. That was an issue because she was not familiar with Damien’s

grandfather’s house and had no idea where the contraceptives were stored.

Anyway, she did not have to go through the trouble.

The next day, Clarissa’s performance was excellent as well. She had a wide smile on her face.

Damien’s grandfather nodded in approval and kept saying Damien had a good eye. Around one o’clock

in the afternoon, they got into the car and returned to Genovia.

Clarissa felt her cheeks were a little stiff after smiling the whole morning. When she got into the car, her

face immediately fell.

Her relationship with Damien was president and an intern. Their lives were completely different, so they

had nothing to talk about.

Clarissa’s phone buzzed. Her university mentor told her to write a script as a valedictorian to be read

during the convocation.

She had no idea where to start, so she started discussing things like the introduction and what to

emphasize with her mentor. At the same time, she wanted to talk about her own experiences, so she

asked for permission.

Clarissa’s fingers danced across the keyboard.

As Clarissa was typing her message on Whatsapp, a notification popped up on the screen.

“You’ve received a transfer of 50,000 dollars.”

The money was from Damien.

Her fingers paused. She should be happy to receive so much money in just a day, but she felt like

Damien was being sarcastic.

It was as if they were seller and buyer, a mere business transaction.

Once Clarissa was done discussing with her mentor, she sent Damien a message.

[ Thank you, President Lawrence. ]

Damien did not reply.

Clarissa suddenly thought of something and asked, “President Lawrence, how frequently will we visit

your grandfather? I would like to have a gauge.”

“Most probably every week.”

Clarissa was stunned. She thought, ‘Fortunately, I don’t have a boyfriend in reality.’

If she did, their relationship would definitely have ended because of this.
