Chapter 338
Chapter 338 You Look Very Kissable
Maggie glanced over at the nearby buffalo wings place, but it was crowded too.
Despite lacking a noodle–stretching show, the wings shop buzzed with customers drawn in by its array of flavours and dips.
Meanwhile, stalls selling skewers were equally bustling.
Maggie felt puzzled, unsure of what to do next.
“Hey there, Miss, craving some wings?” A cheerful lady boss called
Scanning the crowd. Maggie couldn’t resist asking, “How long’s the wait?”
“About half an hour, but don’t worry; our family’s secret flavours are mouthwatering, totally worth the wait!” the confident lady boss assured.
Maggie furrowed her brow slightly, remarking. “That’s a tad too long.”
The lady boss quickly suggested, “How about takeout? If you skip the table wait, you can grab it to go in
about ten minutes.”
This proposal left Maggie even more uncertain. Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Takeout?
But where would I take it?
She didn’t want to bring strong–smelling food into Nathael’s pristine car; it felt disrespectful.
Before Maggie could respond, Nathael jumped in. “How do I order?”
The lady boss promptly handed them a menu: Just order the flavours and dips that you want.”
Maggie looked at the big menu, then turned to Nathael, asking, “What if there’s no seating?”
“We’ll take it to the noodle spot, Nathael suggested warmly,
“But there’s no space there either!” Maggie almost doubted if he grasped the gravity of the situation.
Nathael reassured, “It’s fine. I bumped into a friend in line.”
At his words, Maggie’s eyes brightened. “Is it almost their turn?”
A hint of amusement danced in Nathael’s eyes as he nodded. “Yes, it is.”
With that, Maggie smiled, no longer hesitant, and began selecting what she wanted to eat.
While she didn’t often have wings, she had tried it before, especially back in college and high school when it was served in the cafeteria./
But she suspected Nathael hadn’t tried it, so she picked out a few more flavours.

Chapter 338 You Look Very Kissable
Maggie scanned the line of people, curious to see who the lucky acquaintance might be.
Then, she observed as Nathacl approached the couple at the front, pulling out a stack of bills. “Excuse me. Would you mind selling us your spot?”
The couple hesitated for a moment. The man initially wanted to refuse, but when he saw the stack of bills, he wavered.
It wasn’t that he lacked backbone; the offer was simply too tempting
In the next instant, the woman accepted the money with a smile, graciously giving up their spot. “Sure, of course!”
Watching the scene unfold. Maggie was utterly speechless.
Even as they settled at the table, Maggie looked at Nathael with mixed feelings, unable to resist teasing. “Is that your definition of a friend?”
Nathael grinned, remarking. “I might not be their friend, but money sure is.”
The sight of those bills made Maggie feel like her heart was breaking.
1,500 dollars!!!
1,500 dollars gone, just like that!
Because of that hefty sum, Maggie, who hadn’t planned on getting noodles, now wanted to order a bowl.
I have take two more bowls to go, one for Mia and another for Joyce.
No, scratch that. I have to pack four bowls, one for Lucas and one for Leo too!
Wait, Lucas and Leo are big eaters, so they each deserve two bowls, making it six bowls!
Maggie’s mind raced, trying to lower the overall cost.
If she wasn’t worried about getting back late, she’d even consider giving a couple of bowls to Kevin’s family.
But that wasn’t an option, so she decided Ericko could have them!
Even though her parents might not eat it, Ericko definitely would!
Thinking this over, Maggie quickly messaged a few people, letting them know she’d bring them dinner later and advising them to eat less at night.
Nathael observed her troubled expression, his eyes gentle as he suggested, “Just think of it as Ronald buying you a meal.”
Maggie was stunned for a moment, then remembered she had 150 million in her name now!
With that in mind, losing that 1,500 dollars didn’t seem so bad anymore.
But Ronald buying me a meal?
Chapter 338 You Look Very Kissable
I’ll pass!
I’m not sure I can stomach it
But she had to admit, the rich was direct and efficient.
About fifteen minutes later, the neighbouring lady boss brought over the wings, and the noodles arrived promptly.
The portions were generous, and as Maggie looked at the three large servings, she felt a bit overwhelmed.
But she had to admit, the flavour was excellent, unlike the clean and fancy restaurants, with a distinct taste.
Neither of them rushed through their meal, and after thirty minutes, Maggie felt too full to continue. She lazily rested her head on her hand, watching Nathael eat.
He seemed composed and attractive, sitting amidst the hustle and bustle of the street marker, blending in yet standing out.
There was a depth and nobility about him that seemed out of place here, making him distinct from the crowd even as he mingled with them.
But oddly enough, he didn’t carry himself as superior; he seemed to blend in with everyone else, eating noodles with a peculiar harmony.
Maggie couldn’t help but gaze at him absentmindedly, noticing others glancing their way.
Ignoring the stares, Maggie just looked at him with affectionate eyes.
This is my Nathael… The Nathael who belongs to me…
I want to stay by his side forever, seeing him happy.
Deep down, Maggie knew he probably wouldn’t find happiness after their breakup.
She didn’t think he’d be better off without her either.
But she always hoped he’d live, that one day he’d forget her or find love again.
Life had so many possibilities; it shouldn’t end abruptly in his prime.
Feeling her gaze, Nathael looked at her pretty face. Her eyes were clear, gentle yet tinged with sadness.
I’ll keep living, try to live longer, and try to make him happier.
“Nana, what’s on your mind?” Nathiel asked in a deep voice.
Maggie snapped out of her thoughts, her gaze landing on his slightly flushed lips. She smiled and gazed at him playfully, saying, “Nathael, you look very kissable.”
