The sound of heels clinking down to the floor echoed before the magnificent door was opened and Tisha stepped in.
Henry sniffs and carried his steaming cup of tea, puff out some air in it before taking a sip out of it.
“Drinking tea in the afternoon?”she scoffed.
“You all are the cause of it. Why can’t you let me breathe and give me the peace I need?. It’s not yet my time but I felt y’all would kill me with your troubles before that moment.”
Tisha chuckled and pulled a chair back and sat down, placing her bag on the seat next to the one she is sitting on.
“What have you done this time, Tisha?. Do you know the..”he coughed out.
“Old age is really here, brother. Why not leave the properties to me and go rest?”
Henry scoffed loudly.
“Rest?, where?”
“Come on, brother. After leaving your properties in my custody, you might chose to travel around or settle down in another country to rest or you could just make that grand by going to do that in the sky, you know, heaven.”she pointed to the ceiling.
Henry instantly wore a glare.
“I am your brother, Tisha. How can you wish for my death!”
“Not anymore. The moment you announced that your descendant is Gregory, our relationship came to an end. Brother, I..”
Henry raised a hand in the air and shook his head.
“I’ve made my decision. I’m a careful man, Tisha. How would I ever think of handing over my properties to you who never ceases in causing mayhems around?. This time around, I would leave you to clear your mess. What were you really thinking when you slapped one of our board members?. If this incident were to get out to the public, you know how much loss we would suffer?.”
“Ugh, he vexed me. Throwing me lustful stares?, what was he thinking?. Brother, you caused this!”she seethed.
“If only you had made me your descendant, then I wouldn’t be among the board members, talk less of being looked down upon.”
Henry stifled a laugh.
“Your beauty is not even measured up to my wife’s..”
“Let’s not talk about the dead. We are alive, let’s talk about us.”she cuts him off, abruptly.
“Our father’s property was passed on to you and you invested that in your business, so, rightfully, brother, not only your children are entitled to your property, I am too.”
He took the napkin and cleaned his mouth with it.
“You’re not worthy, Tisha. I’m afraid you would ruin things. Go home and manage your business. Besides, I made you a member of the board so you won’t feel ousted out.”he picked up his cutleries.
He cuts a piece out of the steak with his knife and stabbed his fork on it then dropped it in his mouth.
Tisha flicked her hair back angrily and squirmed her lips, menacingly.

Gregory’s eyes were fixated on her as he took short steps towards her.
Beatrice blinked rapidly and began to move back.
She knew nothing good was in for her when she reported him.
“Wh.. what..”she trailed off.
Her back finally hits the wall and she hiccuped.
He got to where she was and smirks.
“So, you did reported me?”he asked in hush tone.
Her heart moved up and down, and she opened her mouth slightly, suddenly finding it hard to breathe.
His cologne clouded her nostrils, and that seems to make it hard for her to say anything as it fazes her.
She stared away from him and exhaled, placing her hand on her chest, telling and hoping it would be steady.
“Why?. We.. were you scared?”she cursed herself internally for having to stutter.
Seriously?!
She bit her bottom lip in fear of what he was going to do to her.
Gregory closed the space between them and placed his right hand on the wall, just above her head, camping her in.
“I didn’t actually think you would be that brave. Why not teach you a lesson then?, so this won’t happen again.”he whispered and brought his face nearer to her’s.
She moved her hair back and closed her eyes.
“You know, I hate it when cops come down here. No, this is the first time that would happen and, no one but you is the cause. Do you think this is a story where you can do as you please and expect to be save by the cops?. Face reality, author.”he clipped her hair behind her ear.
Beatrice shivered under his cold touch and opened her eyes.
He scoffs and stepped away from her.
“What shall I do to you?”he stared deep in her eyes.
“I.. I am so.. sorry. I..”
He clicked his tongue and shook his head.
“No need to apologize. What you have done cannot be undone. Let’s do it this way, fair and even.”he gripped her arm tightly.
“No, no, please, I’m sorry.. I.. I was wrong! Yes, I.. I was, please.. let me.. go. please.”he dragged her up to his room and threw her roughly on his bed.
Beatrice’s eyes widened out in horror, and she hurriedly sat up, with tears blocking her view. She could only see his distorted face.
His lips spreaded out in a silly smile.
“Warm my bed for me, author. What do you say?. You’ve always wanted to try out those things you write in your novels, haven’t you?. Or, have you tried out the bed part already?, without me?”
She swallowed hard and clamped her hands together, pleading with him.
Oh, God.
She knew she shouldn’t have reported him.
God!
*Save me just this once, huh?*she prayed.
He took hold of her shoulders and made her to lie down on the bed, propping a pillow beneath her head.
“Warm it up.”he said.
“Please.. please, don’t do this. I’ve sworn to God that whoever is going to take my pride away will be my wedded husband, please..”she found it hard to stand up.
“In this time and age?”he scoffed.
“I didn’t know you would still be a virgin, author. That make it more fun though. You’re a writer, come on, make me your husband. You just have to imagine things, isn’t that right?. Create a world in your mind. Now, you’re in your wedding dress and I, your husband whom you’ve vowed to be with forever is making you lie down on his bed, which is soon to be our matrimonial bed. Tonight is the night, author. Warm my bed.”
