Her Freezing Heart

Chapter 6- Steven

Chapter 6- Steven

After Austin left, I took a blood bag out of my freezer and set it out on the kitchen counter to warm up a

little. Don’t want to eat blood flavored Popsicle, right? I tried it once and let’s just say I did not like it that

much. Well blood is the only thing I can eat or more like drink so there are times you want to get

creative with the only present item in your fridge but it just ends up being the most horrible dish you

ever had. I have had a couple such incidents and Austin was not happy about it nor was Cassidy as

she provides me with the blood bags from her hospital. Can’t go ripping throats around the place, can

we now?

That women looks like in her fifties but she is actually more than four hundred years old. Yup Cassidy

and Grayson have been around for a while. We just happen to age slower than the humans but we do

age. Cassidy was friends with my mom. They were like sisters. My mom found Cassidy in late sixteenth

century as a baby. She was only a few months old. Mum was fourteen at that time in vampire years.

She brought Cassidy home with her and her parents raised her like their own despite her being a witch.

When mum found her mate, my dad in 1640, Cassidy went to train as a witch with a witch and warlock

couple my grandparents were friends with. I was born on 3rd of September 1645 in Europe. When I

was around sixteen in vampire years, I moved in with Cassidy in America because of my parent’s

death. It was in the year 1885. Once I asked Cassidy her age when I was a teen, she just slapped me

across the back of my head. Something about asking a women her age is being rude to the women. I

never asked her about that again but I more or less figured it out.

Austin is from England. We met because our covens were mutual friends. He is around forty five

human years younger than me. Cassidy and I might be born just a little over sixty years apart but she is

way older than me. Vampires age slower than werewolves and witches so we have to keep moving Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

from place to place or just live in a scheduled places with no human contacts. I looked like a fifteen or

sixteen year old in human growth frame when I moved in with Cassidy so I couldn’t live on my own and

there were some other circumstances that I would rather not want to recall. Hmm old times. The music

was really good back then but the fashion was rather crappy. Well no meaning in beating a dead horse

now. Did I say that phrase right or was it something else? I will ask Austin later.

Where the hell are Cassidy and Grayson anyways? Shouldn’t they be home by now? Well I will just

take a nap. Cassidy will probably bang my door open when she will be home like she always does after

her vacations, to tell me all about her adventures. I think she might have been around the globe at least

three times by now but she still wants to go on her little trips. If I had a mate, I would have done the

same. No matter how many times she wanted to roam the world, I would have taken her.

The same pain of emptiness suddenly made its appearance. I don’t want to feel this loneliness. I will

just find someone to bang tonight. It will atleast make the pain unnoticeable. I picked up my phone and

texted a random chick. I have their numbers but with no names on it. It’s labeled with numbers from 1,

2 and so on. Only Cassidy, Grayson and Austin’s contacts are with their names. Others are all the

chicks I fuck to keep it going. They just throw themselves at me. I kind of do need them though to keep

myself sane. It’s been like an almost daily routine since I came to know about my mate cheating on me.

Enough with these sappy thoughts I should just take a nap. I removed my t-shirt and crawled into my

bed after finishing my blood bag which was not as cold as before.

“AMARA”

I jolted out of my bed. What the fuck! Why the hell is he shouting? What time is it? I picked up my

phone to check the time. It’s five thirty five in the evening. I heard those two talking to each other in a

civil voice. Sensitive ears here people. Don’t shout. I rolled on my side to get back to sleep but it just

wouldn’t come back. Austin doesn’t seem to be back yet. I hope he is okay. Uhhh. Can’t get back to

sleep so I might as well get up. I do have to take a bath before Cassidy comes back. She will kill me if

she found out I haven’t had a bath in two days. I have to clean the house as well. It looks like a tornado

ran over here. I cleaned the living room and kitchen first in at a break neck speed. Being a vampire

comes in handy in times like these. Time to clean the bed room.

Done. I only have to take a bath now. I think I might as well drink some blood. I pulled out a blood bag

from the freezer and set it out on the counter. Should I watch a movie till the bag warms up? I put on

‘Fate of the Furious’ on my Netflix and sat in my comfy couch to watch the movie on my flat screen. I

just love all these fast and furious movies. I was in the middle of the movie when I remembered about

the blood bag. I paused the movie and got the blood bag. I continued to watch the movie with sipping

on my little smoothie in my hands. Note the sarcasm. How can a vampire’s life be so boring?
