Chapter 1003 Yael is Beata's Soft Spot
River held his phone and almost got furious when he saw Miles' message. He regretted not bullying this bastard back then, even though it wasn't his sister.
"Hehe, you have more experience in this area than I do," River said.
"Our family has always been open-minded, unlike some people who are clueless," Miles replied.
River was really angry now. He thought he was already very open-minded as a brother, but these guys kept teasing him every day.
He didn't even care about Beata anymore; she had moved in with Yael and he had no objections.
What else could he do? Buy them condoms to help them along?
The most annoying thing for River was that Eden insisted on playing truth or dare and asked how Beata and Yael got together. Beata didn't save him any face at all and said it was because of him.
River couldn't refute her words at all. It was a fact that his casual remark had led to their relationship. Even though love only needed an opportunity, they would eventually discover each other's feelings sooner or later because of his words.
This was the embarrassing past of River's life.
How could he know that such a casual remark would lead to a relationship? It seemed impossible to reason with anyone about this matter.
Originally, it was still a secret until Beata exposed it herself one day. Since then, this matter became something these guys teased him about every time they mentioned it – making River feel like
someone poked into his lungs every time they did so - making him so enraged.
He had never seen a brother worse off than himself before...
Now Miles mentioned it again. River really wanted to pull him over for a fight! Could things ever be good between them?
Averi sat next to River and saw how angry he looked; she gently comforted him by patting his back, "It's been so many years. Why are you still not getting along with them?" This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
"These guys used to suffer under me before but now they're taking revenge on me," snorted River bitterly.
Averi laughed out loud, "We're all grown-ups now. Why bother fighting over these things?"
River said, "We always have to keep score." Averi couldn't help but laugh. When a group of men got together, they can be incredibly childish. River sighed and asked, "Do you think Beata will come back and tell us she's pregnant?"
"I doubt it," Averi replied. "Beata told me that Yael has to wait until she turns twenty." Once she hit twenty, there was no reason to stop them.
"If I didn't know him so well, I'd worry that he was fooling around outside," River said.
"You better not say that in front of Beata," Averi warned. "She's very protective."
This comment stabbed at River's heart like a knife. He used to be Beata's protector, but now Yael was the one taking care of her.
Thinking about this made River feel miserable. Luckily, Yael was his friend and on his side; otherwise if some outsider tried to steal her little sister from him, he would really kill them.
