Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 103

lan’s dad hadn’t got a clue about the dirty deeds Daniel had done behind closed doors. If he ever found

out, he’d probably give the Brown family a run for their money. And let’s not forget that Daniel had laid

hands on Maja.

Samuel could feel the sweat trickling down his forehead. Maja didn’t say it out loud, but he knew it was

a threat. If he continued to stand in her way and hinder her from completing lan’s task, she’d spill the

beans about Daniel’s attempted assault to lan’s father.

If this happened, the Brown family would be in deep water.

Samuel hadn’t expected Maja to pull such a card, “I’ve underestimated you, Penny.”

He thought she was just a self–respecting woman, but it turned out she wore more hats than that.

He knew about lan’s marriage three years ago, but he’d never met the famed Mrs. Big Shot Little did he

know that she was sitting right in front of him, and he and his father had already ticked her off.

Samuel was feeling choked up. His carefully planned pursuit had turned into a hot mess

“You’ve got Holden backing you up, so I wouldn’t dare to mess with you. But your husband is just next

door, and here you are, chit–chatting with me. You’ve got some nerve.” Maja finally took a sip from her

wine glass, her lips pursed.

“To me, lan is just Mr. Raymond. We’ve agreed to treat each other as strangers, so I won’t be the one

to break the agreement.”

As they were talking, a waiter respectfully knocked on the door and brought in their food. Samuel had

ordered a couple’s set meal for tonight, along with a nice gift box. He had planned to make Maja give in

tonight, but now he had to let it go..

“Penny, tonight’s dishes are the chef’s new creations. Opportunities to enjoy such delicacies are few

and far between, so why don’t we finish the meal before leaving.” Maja figured there was no point in

being petty at this point. The most important matter had been settled. She let her guard down and

didn’t want to miss out on the good food.

She was quite fond of the sweet wine being served and couldn’t help but have a few more glasses.

Samuel took a few more glances at her. Ian must be out of his mind to be indifferent towards a wife like

her and let her dine with another man. Samuel was actually starting to fall for Maja, especially now that

she had let her guard down. She looked so vulnerable, it made him want to protect her.

“Don’t drink too much of this wine.”

He regretted saying that as soon as the words left his mouth. It wouldn’t hurt for her to have a few more

glasses, at least he could get to see her tipsy. The thought of all these things made Samuel furious. If

lan truly didn’t have feelings for Maja, why didn’t he just divorce her! Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

With a table full of delicious food in front of him, Samuel couldn’t find the appetite to eat. Instead, he

kept stealing glances at Maja.

Suddenly, the person in charge of the fireworks display called him, asking when to start the show, as

everything was ready.

“Cancel the fireworks!”

Samuel was seething inside, but he couldn’t help but keep his eyes on Maja, who was holding her wine

glass, looking out of the window.

From here, one could indeed see the bustling scene of Greenfield, and the seats here were hard to

come by.

People like lan, who would even occupy a private booth all year around, making it more difficult for

people to book other booths..

Memories from the past started flooding Maja’s mind, making her feel a little lost.

Samuel couldn’t bear to see a beauty like her upset, so he told the person in charge of the fireworks,

“Start now.”

As soon as he finished speaking, within half a minute, half of the sky was lit up by the fireworks.

Although Maja thought Samuel’s way of pursuing girls was cliche, giving flowers, jewelry, all too

common.

But fireworks, probably no woman could resist that.

“No wonder Mr. Brown has so many girlfriends.”

“As long as you like it. If you divorce lan, I’ll be here for you at any time.”

She wasn’t sure if he was joking or being serious.

Maja found it amusing. One Kurt, one Samuel, why did these people always think that another man’s

wife is better?

Meanwhile, in the neighboring booth, the moment the fireworks lit up the sky, the window also lit up.

Tyler couldn’t help but shake his head.

“In this Greenfield, if we’re talking about who’s willing to spend money on chasing women, one is Ryan

and the other is Samuel. This fireworks display must have cost a

fortune.”

After saying that, he turned to lan and asked with a smile, “Do you think that Penny girl would be

swayed?”
