Chapter 0106
Chapter 0106
Madison lowered her head, “Thank you for your concern, President Grant. Everything’s fine.”
Ethan glanced at the vegetables that Madison had ignored on her plate, “Good to know.”
Having agreed not to go public about their relationship, Ethan could only pretend to be distantly acquainted with his girlfriend..
Once he walked away, Ethan remarked to Old Gao, “Perhaps the canteen should serve less bitter gourd.”
Old Gao was puzzled, clueless about the suggestion.
Ethan looked back and said, “My girlfriend doesn’t like bitter gourd.”
Old Gao stood frozen, the word ‘girlfriend’ echoing in his mind.
Subsequently, the pilots saw their chief instructor scrutinizing each of their plates.
Later on, Madison noticed Old Gao eyeing the bitter gourd on her plate.
Quietly, she pushed her plate forward, “Instructor Gao, I haven’t touched the bitter gourd. Perhaps you’d like…”
Old Gao stared at her for a long while before patting her shoulder with an odd expression and sighing, “Good kid, good kid.”
Madison was baffled.
Old Gao cleared his throat, “It’s alright, eat at your own pace and let me know if anything doesn’t suit your taste.”
Madison was even more perplexed by this special attention.

Everyone returned to their quarters after lunch. Madison opened her phone and messaged Ethan. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
– Why did you suddenly show up?
His response was swift, as if he had been waiting for her message.
President Grant: I missed you, so I came to see you.
Seeing his words, a faint smile curved Madison’s lips.
Are you leaving now?
President Grant: Do you want me to leave?
– It’s not for me to decide whether you stay or go.
President Grant: You can decide. If you don’t want me to leave, I won’t.
– Then don’t go, stay with me.
Madison was merely toying with him, following his lead.
A man of his responsibilities, how could he stay?
Unexpectedly-
President Grant: Open the door.
Madison’s heart sank, and she rushed to the door of her single dormitory.
Before she could express her astonishment, the man swiftly entered, closed the door behind him, and locked it.
“How did you… mmm…”
Her words were cut off as she was pressed against the wall.
Ethan’s kiss was fervent with yearning, leaving Madison breathless
for a moment.
But she quickly reciprocated his passion, responding to his kiss.
Feeling her compliance, Ethan held her tighter, the intensity of their
connection undeniable.
After a short while, they parted, panting.
He rested his forehead against hers, “Did you miss me?”
They hadn’t been in touch much over the past week; their rare exchanges were mostly Madison messaging late at night, with Ethan replying instantly, only to receive silence because she had fallen
asleep.
This sporadic communication left Ethan restless.
Unable to bear it any longer and feeling much better physically, he had rushed to see her.
Madison hugged his waist, resting her chin against his chest, nodding eagerly, “I did miss you.”
Her softness made Ethan unwilling to let go.
“Why didn’t you call me?” Ethan pinched her side, “Have you lost weight?”
Madison sighed, “It seems so.”
The recent pressure and intense training had everyone slimming
down.
“Tired? Should I give you a massage?” Ethan offered.
Madison shook her head, “Training will resume soon. Don’t delay
here, go attend to your work.”
“You just asked me to stay.”
Madison was startled, “I was joking.”
“But I took it seriously.”
“???”
Ethan glanced at the extra bed in the single dormitory, “There’s a spare bed. I’ll just sleep here.”
”וו“
Madison was horrified, “Don’t be ridiculous. If someone finds out…”
“Am I so shameful?” Ethan asked with a lazy smile.
“That’s not what I mean…
Ethan grinned, “Alright, I understand. Shall I leave then?”
Her anxious demeanor tugged at his heart.
Later, she sneakily made her way to the training field.
“Why is your face so red? Are you sick?” a Mukino Airlines pilot asked
her.
Madison touched her face, “Is it? Maybe the dormitory was a bit
warm.”
No one dwelled on it, and they all returned to their rigorous training.
From that day forward, Madison would call him whenever she wasn’t too exhausted…
She found that no matter when she called, Ethan would almost
always answer immediately.
“Hello? Are you busy?”
!
“Not at all,” Ethan stood up, gesturing for others to continue the
meeting.
The executives, hearing his suddenly tender voice, exchanged puzzled
glances.
Who could that be?
President Grant’s girlfriend?
Ethan moved to a quieter spot, “Are you done with training?”
“Yes.”
“Let’s video call.”
Madison hesitated.
“Just want to see you,” said the man. It had been three days since he
last visited the base.
In another three or four days, their training would end.
“Alright.”
They hung up, and Ethan immediately sent Madison a video call
request.
He put on his Bluetooth headset, placing the phone on the desk, occasionally giving cues to the speaking executives to continue.
Madison’s face soon appeared on the screen, smiling, “Aren’t you at
home?”
“No, still at the office. Have you eaten?”
“Yes,” Madison replied curiously, “The meals have been great recently, all my favorites.”
Ethan smiled softly, “That’s good.”
Then, he asked in a hushed tone, “Do you miss me?”
Madison blinked, answering in a whisper, “Would I call you if I didn’t?”
Her demeanor made Ethan itch to reach through the screen and whisk her away.
The executive sitting closest to Ethan felt his heart racing.
Heavens!
Had he just overheard that?
Their chairman speaking so tenderly to someone?
The executives dared not glance around too much, but it was clear the person on the other end was a woman.
Soon, a message buzzed in the executives’ group chat-
Director of Planning: President Grant is in love!
Director of HR: We’ve all seen it, okay…
Director of Finance: But I’m curious about her identity. Does anyone
know?
Director of Public Relations: @Secretary Department, you see
President Grant every day. Have you noticed any suspicious people? Let us know, so we can be prepared in case we inadvertently offend
someone.
Chief Secretary: Don’t you know I’m also here?
The directors: ….
William collected his phone with a grin, his gaze sweeping over the executives in the meeting room.
They quickly put away their phones, the gossip effectively silenced.
