Trying to remind Gifer
The sky had changed its color to black, the moon began to show its yellow light, which was only faint, now it was brightly lit. Similarly, the clouds followed the color of the black sky. The moon, which was now round like a ball, was gazed at by millions of people who passed by in the crowded city of Jakarta. A lantern festival was being held on a small bridge, with people either floating down the river or flying the lanterns up.
A girl with her busking gear was now in the crowd. She was very happy because tonight was a very beautiful night in her opinion, plus there was a lantern festival like this. She placed the can in front of her and began to open the guitar case she was carrying. She took out the guitar and prepared to sing. Before that, the girl looked up at the sky.
“Wow… it’s so nice here, busking here can’t hurt right?” Said the girl with neck-length hair. Her bangs were clamped to the right by a flower-shaped hairpin with five medium-sized petals. Not too small nor too big. The girl started singing with her melodious voice.

Gifer drove his car at a high speed, he wanted to reach the apartment as soon as possible since it was already late. If it wasn’t about the business matter with Mr. George, maybe Gifer wouldn’t be this emotional, but he had calmed down his emotions well by driving with focus. Now that he had to stop at a red light, he was surprised that the streets were so quiet tonight.
“Why aren’t there any other road users? There are only box cars, where did the other cars go?” Gifer said wonderingly.
“Did I take the wrong lane?” Gifer looked at the top glass which directly looked at the back road.
“Ah, I don’t think so.” Gifer answered himself. The traffic light had turned green, Gifer started to drive his car again. But this time only at a low speed. While looking at the sky which was suddenly filled with several lanterns. Instantly he remembered something.
“Gosh, how appropriate that the streets are quiet, there’s a lantern festival?” Her monologue.
“Watching the festival would be cool too, to relieve my stress.” Gifer ruffled his hair roughly.
“But, if you don’t invite Belvina, it’s not cool. Huh… never mind, no problem. This time I’m alone, but in the future if there’s a festival like this I’ll invite Belvina.” Gifer broke up. He drove his car to the place where the festival was held.
.
Now Gifer has arrived at the place where people fly wishes through lanterns. Actually, he didn’t believe that wishes could be granted by God. But if it was just for fun and to relieve stress, it would still be acceptable to that sweet man. Gifer got out of his car, walked slowly towards the crowd of people passing by and running here and there. Gifer’s ears immediately heard the voice of someone busking at the crossroads to the small river bridge that was already filled with yellow lanterns of various shapes.
“Whose voice is this? It’s good too, it matches the English song sung by the original singer.” Gifer said. Gifer kept walking, the more he walked, the more the voice was clearly heard.
Yeah~~~~
I know I said good bye and baby you said it too, but when I touch her I feel like I’m cheating on you~
Prok… prok… prok… prok… prok…
The sound of people appreciating the girl’s singing was so loud. Coupled with everyone putting money into the can that the girl had provided.
“That girl’s voice is really good.”
“Yes, I didn’t expect a street singer with such a melodious voice.”
Those were the words of the people who gathered around. Gifer who had just arrived was just in time for the song to finish, so the people immediately dispersed their ranks. The girl was still in place as she played her guitar. Trying to sing another song.
“I’m kind of familiar with that girl, but who is it?” The cute boy tried to remember, but his memory didn’t seem to be able to recognize just the girl’s hair, because the girl still kept her head down while playing her guitar. Gifer’s brow furrowed even more.
“What does it have to do with me anyway? I’ll just look at the lanterns.” Gifer broke off. But when he was about to turn around, his gaze fell on the girl who was also looking at him. Instantly, the girl stopped playing her guitar.NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
“Mr. Gifer?” The girl said. Gifer frowned. The girl walked up to him. Gifer pointed at the girl and tried to guess her.
“You… you’re the one who came to my company that time, right? Who was it? Nov…” Gifer tried to remember but couldn’t and in the end the girl answered him.
“Nova.”
“Ah, that’s what I meant…” Gifer said awkwardly.
“Mr. Gifer, can we talk for a moment?” Nova asked.
“Oh, yes, please.” Gifer sat on the wooden chair next to Nova and then faced the sky that was already filled with lanterns.
“I thought I’d find out too late that there’s a festival here.” Gifer said to start the conversation so as not to look awkward.
“Ah, it must be because you just got back from work right?” Gifer nodded.
“Yes, how did you know?”
“Yes because Mr. Gifer is still wearing office clothes.” Gifer looked down and he could see that he was still in his neat office clothes and the tie was still tied around his neck. He didn’t even take off his suit jacket.
“Hahaha, yes too.” Gifer said.
“Mr. Gifer…”
“Just call him Gifer, we’re out of the office.” Gifer smiled sweetly at Nova for a while and looked back at the sky full of lanterns.
“But, I’m much younger than you, Mr. Gifer.” Nova said. The girl was still awkward as she wanted to reveal everything. Especially about the past at the Falah orphanage. Nova hesitated, whether to tell it to Gifer or not. But in the end she had to tell Gifer.
“Oh? Really? Then, call me Big Brother. It just so happens that I don’t have a younger sibling, hehe.” Gifer still answered simply and casually.
“Is that okay?”
“Yes, I allow it. You also know Haris, right? Weren’t we already friends back then?” Gifer said.
“Ah… yes, friends yes.” Gifer nodded.
“Brother Gifer, I actually want to say something.”
“What is it? Just say it.”
“Do you remember the Falah orphanage in Kendal?” Nova asked. The girl was also curious whether Gifer still remembered it or not.
“I remember, so what, there’s still a center there until now.” Gifer said.
“Oh, are you also from Kendal?” Gifer asked to make sure. Nova nodded in response.
“Do you remember the two little girls who were playing chase and you came by with a doll as a gift?” Nova asked again. Gifer tried to remember. Remembering the time when he used to make dolls together with Raya.
“Dolls? Hmm… I seem to remember it, but only vaguely. So what?”
“Ah it’s nothing, I just wanted to say that one of the two little girls you gave the doll to is dead.” Nova said.
“What? Is that really so?” Gifer instantly straightened up as he was shocked by what the girl with neck-length hair who was now next to him had just said.
“Yes, and that one girl is me.” Gifer immediately widened his eyes in disbelief.
“Really?” Nova nodded.
“Oh my!”
