The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2680

"Don't go."

Grabbing onto him, I turned around and looked at Theo with a determined expression. "Neil's my guest. You're not allowed to chase him away."

Looking at me with displeasure in his eyes, Theo then threw a glare at Neil who was behind me before turning around and entering the room without saying anything.

I poked my head out and saw that Theo had already entered the room. Thus, I turned around and winked at Neil. "Let's go."

I led Neil into the dining room. He looked at a table filled with food and said to me, "Did you cook all of this?"

"Yes. Quick, take a seat. I'll go grab some cutlery."

"Then, let me help too," Neil said and was about to follow me into the kitchen but I stopped him.

"No need for that. Just sit down." I shot him a look, asking him to interact with Theo more before entering the kitchen.

I deliberately took my time to give them more time to interact with one another.

However, Theo's voice came booming not long after, "Do you need that long to grab the cutlery?"

"I'm coming."

It looked like that failed.

Cutlery in hand, I left the kitchen. Although they were seated facing one another, Theo was not looking at Neil at all. They were more like enemies than strangers. "Let's eat."

I watched Theo's face while we ate and saw that he still had his poker face on. He was neither smiling nor angry.

It seemed that there was still a long way to go before Theo could come to accept Neil.

"Neil, please help yourself to more."

"I definitely will. The food is delicious. President Grant is a lucky man," Neil said as he shot a glance at Theo.

Sitting beside Theo, I nudged him, "You should reply to someone even if it's just out of courtesy."

Theo only looked at Neil when he heard this. "Yes. But I hope there won't be a next time."

He might as well have said nothing.

We were enveloped in an air of awkwardness, so I tried to break it. "Eat. Enjoy yourselves."

The dinner finally came to an end.

"You guys take a seat on the sofa for a bit. I'll cut up some fruit. You can play with the children as well."

"Alright."

Theo and Neil took a seat on the so far. I glanced at them before heading into the kitchen.

I actually already cut up the fruit and put them in the refrigerator. I took it out before secretly watching them from the side.

The two of them were seated. Theo

was silent while Neil played with the children. The two of them did not interact with one another no matter

He should say something, anything!

"Uhm... are you unhappy that I came today?" Neil finally said. I looked at Theo carefully.

Theo glanced at him. "Is it not obvious?"

That was way too cold.

On the other hand, Neil was smiling as if nothing had happened. "Then I'll try my best to reject Wanda next time."

"Try your best?" Theo looked at him

and echoed in a displeased tone.

don't want to see you. If I could, I'd ask you to leave the country again."

No, I had to go out and turn the tide.

I walked out with the fruit in hand. "Have some fruit."

SUMS

Putting the fruit on the table, I looked at Neil. "Have some."

"Alright."

Theo stood up. "I won't be having any. I still have some work to do."

After saying that, he went up without even looking back.

His aura when he made his way upstairs was threatening.

Neil looked at me. "Let's not do this next time."

"No, we have to make him interact with you more. It's the only chance you two will get to talk things out. el Do you want him to misunderstand you forever?" I was determined to help Neil after learning what a good person he was.

Neil was worthy of being Theo's younger brother.
