The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2678

At a cafe near the hospital.

I picked up the coffee in front of me and took a sip. It tasted a little bitter, and I frowned slightly.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Keith staring at me. He was obviously confused by my sudden invitation.

Putting down the coffee, I smiled at him. "You probably find this weird, right?"

"Yes, a little." Although he was puzzled, Keith was still calm.

He was, sure enough, one of Theo's own. He would not panic no matter what.

I looked at him, my gaze full of admiration, before I slowly started, "You've been at Theo's side longer than I have. Technically, I shouldn't be asking you this directly since I've also taken you as my own people long ago like Theo. That's why there are some things that make me curious and I can't not ask you about them. I hope you don't mind."

Keith listened to me seriously and frowned almost imperceptibly but quickly relaxed again. "Don't worry, Madam. Does this thing have something to do with me?" he asked.

"Yes, it's about you," I responded frankly.

He smiled lightly. "Okay, Madam. I'll tell you everything."NôvelDrama.Org content.

Tell me everything?

My smile deepened when he said this. I hoped for that.

"Aren't you a little close to Nibel recently?"

Keith probably did not expect me to be this direct given how his expression shifted slightly when he heard this. His gaze fluttered about before slowly returning to me. "Why are you suddenly asking that, Madam?"

"I didn't know about it either at first, but my friend, Shannon, said she saw you and Nibel discussing something when she was out shopping. I also saw you with him again just now. I even bumped into him a few minutes before you."

I said all of this in one breath and had been watching Keith's expression as I did so.

There did not seem to be a shift in his expression. There was only a furrow in his brows before they relaxed again.

I waited for his answer while taking another sip of coffee.

"Since you've found out, then I'll tell you the truth. It is true that Mr. Nibel and I have been seeing each other a lot lately."

I was taken aback by Keith's frankness. My hand was still, and looked at him with a smile. "Seeing

to be nothing."

He nodded slightly before looking up at me and continuing, "Mr. Nibel intends to poach me for Pristine."

"A brilliant person can shine anywhere. Nibel is very sharp." I was not surprised by this since Keith was very capable. Any boss would like him.

"I rejected hing, but Mr. Nibel seems

quite adamant. That's why he came to the hospital just now to convince me again." Keith was honest about everything. Him not feeling guilty also showed his loyalty to Theo.

I slowly smiled. "Theo wasn't wrong about you."

"President Grant is my first boss. As long as he keeps me around, I don't mind serving Grant Corporation for the rest of my life," Keith said frankly, confidence shining in his eyes.

I felt like the smaller person at this moment. I really should not have been suspicious of Keith.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have suspected you."

Keith instantly flustered. "No, Madam. You shouldn't be. It's okay."

He was such a straight guy. Nothing phased him, but he got immediately flustered when I apologized to him.

"I thank you on Theo's behalf, for always being by his side for so many years."

"President Grant has also treated me well."

"Yes, I know."

The relationship between them far exceeded that of a superior and a subordinate.
