"Mommy... mommy!" A small voice shouted at me. "Eh?" I blinked several times taking in the bright

sunlight. A small caramel colored girl was poking at my nose. "Come on mommy." She stopped poking.

"Daddy!" The small pup shouted.

"Daddy?" I asked sitting up. I was outside. The clearing where Blake and I first met. "Oh you can

certainly keep calling me that." I heard a familiar deep chuckle. I turned my eyes towards the source.

My eyes met a beautiful gaze that belonged to him.

My alpha, my mate, my reason to live. Blade stood there wagging his tail. "Tari, why'd you wake

mommy? Silly girl." He nuzzled his large snout in her hair. "Daddy I wanted her to see me do it." The

young girl whined. "Mommy shift! I wanna play." Tari whined to me, pulling at my tail.

I looked to Blade for permission. He nodded his head and pulled Tari closer into him. I shifted and

stretched out my legs. "Mommy." Tari giggled as she rushed at me.

"Well now my little princess show me what it is you are dying to show me." I encouraged her. Blade

gave a snort and nudged her with his paw. She whimpered for a moment until her small body doubled

over in pain that her shift caused. I saw her small little grey paws touch the ground so unsure. Her

small body stood shaking. Her tail was tucked under her leg. She was so small and frail looking. Blade

and I rushed to get closer. She whimpered and curled herself around my leg. "Mama why am I so

small?" She looked at me with pale green eyes. "There isn't a thing wrong with you princess." I said

nuzzling her adorable face. Blade leaned closer to us and grabbed her by her scruff lifting her a good 5

feet or so off the ground. She let out a tiny yip of surprise. I gave Blade a nervous look pleading him to

be careful with my pup.

He began to walk off towards the small cliff that overlooked the lake on our territory. I followed behind

him. I began to think back to something or someone. I think something is wrong or maybe was.

"Ah Daddy!" Tari squeaked as Blade dropped her between his large paws. "Hush" he silenced her and

began grooming her while she continued to protest her fathers cleaning of her fur. I laid beside him

nuzzling into a fussy Tari. She momentarily submitted to my snuggles before giving Blade a growl for

biting into her too hard. She squirmed and wiggled in his paws until she was free and rested between

my paws.

"You still need to be clean princess." I said to her as I began a much more gentle process of grooming

her coat. "What's bothering you mate?" Blade asked me concerned look even on his stoic face that

usually bared no other emotion that rage. "Nothing" I replied still picking at a less squirmy Tari. "You lie

to me mate" He states daringly. Id given a gasp that caused Tari to flinch closer under my paw. "I

thought something happened." I said calmly taking in the softness of my daughters fur.

"What happened mommy?" Tari asked rolling over on her back. I gave her a questioning look. "I don't

know maybe I was just having a bad dream." I sighed licking at her face. "A nightmare." Tari said and

she rolled back over to her paws and stood up and shifted. Her red eyes held tears in them as she

lowered her head.

The weather had taken a sudden unfavorable turn. I looked to the dark clouds in the sky that began to

swirl. Sounds of thunder started and shook the ground beneath me. I looked to Blade who now stood

on all fours with his head lowered. "We aren't really here with you mother." Tari said in voice that

sounded older than the sweet young voice I was accustomed to. I saw Blades form falter and vanish

completely.

I felt a sudden pressure knock into my stomach. I tasted a metallic flavor building up in my mouth. I

opened and blood poured out. "No." I cried and shifted. I looked to Tari and saw flashes of someone

else standing over me. I felt something crush my face to the ground until I heard the snap of my nose. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

"What is this?" I cried reaching my hand out to my daughter.

"Shhh mom don't talk. It'll only hurt worse." She said as I noticed she'd aged perhaps ten years older

now. I felt a horrible cramp in my lower abdomen. I clutched my hand to it and was met with blood. She

reached to touch my face and I saw flashes of a man reaching out his hand as to strike me. I tried to

flinch away but I felt the brute force come into contact with my jaw. I felt another crunch in my mouth as

I tasted a tooth roll forward and out of my mouth. I was still seeing partially Tari comforting me and a

man beating me to death. Then I saw only darkness. The last sound was a small fragile voice singing

"Crickets chirping in the vale.

Hear the song

of the nightingale,

All of this shall be yours soon

Till then sleep,

We shall raise the moon."
