Please Come Back, Honey!

Chapter 124

Chapter 124

Chapter 124 Arianna had proven that she would stop at nothing to achieve her senseless end. Now, Emma was terrified she might rip off the only piece of clothing that covered her modesty. “Scared? Thought I was just messing around, did you?” Arianna taunted imperiously, crossing her arm as she registered the fear and panic in Emma‘s eyes. Emma bit down on her lower lip, completely at a loss. Arianna wasted no time in raising a hand and beckoning the two men over. “Get over here. Who‘s up first?” She tilted her head to the side and suggested, “You can both have her at the same time if that‘s what you prefer.” She seemed entirely undisturbed by the idea of this. Emma had never felt so helpless before. She thought she had succeeded in putting the two men off the idea of assaulting her, but right now, under Arianna‘s taunts and mocking encouragement, they looked ready to get their money‘s worth in action. Emma was sure that the leering looks on their faces would be burned into the back of her mind forever. She watched as the blond man came up to her first. He sneered as he reached out a hand, his fingers mere inches away from her chest. She closed her eyes, tears spilling down her cheeks as she cried, “No,” Just then, a loud metallic bang filled the air as the door of the abandoned warehouse got kicked down, and several police officers rushed in with their guns held out. “Don‘t move!” “Put your hands where I can see ‘em!” “Get down on your knees and put your hands behind your head!” The blond man and his friend trembled when they heard the series of aggressive orders from these uniformed officers. They immediately did as they were told and got down on their knees, then put their hands behind their heads as they looked around wildly at the guns pointing their way, no longer concerned with Emina. lilyBelonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

looked Neither of them had expected the police to show up. Arianna had promised them that there would be none and that they could do whatever they want to Emma without getting caught. Besides, Emma didn‘t have many friends or family, so no one would be wise enough to call the police for her out of concern. For a moment, no one knew what was going on. Arianna gaped at the policemen incredulously and demanded, “What the hell do you think you‘re doing?” The officers paid her no mind, and one of them walked right up to her, pinning her to the ground, then handcuffed her. He was rough with her, and when she was shoved to the ground, the uneven cement scraped the delicate skin of her face, causing her to shriek in pain. “Hey! Let me go right now. You hear me?!” One of the officers spoke up curtly, “We got a call saying someone‘s been kidnapped and held captive here. The three of you are under arrest for kidnapping a civilian.” She panicked when she heard this and roared, “I‘m Trevor Bateson‘s sister! You‘d better let me go right now or you‘ll be sorry once my brother hears of this!” Arianna was supposed to be on a flight bound for abroad today, but she had refused to leave after she thought about how happy Emma would be once she was out of the way. As such, she decided to tcach the girl a hard lesson before leaving, and she bribed the two men into doing her dirty work for her. Earlier that day, she had heavcd her suitcases into the trunk of the car as if she would be going to the airport, but in truth, she never got on her designated slight. Instead, she made a turn along the way and came to this abandoned warehouse just to watch Emma suffer from the humiliation. She had planned on kicking things off with a few harsh slaps on Emma‘s face, then sitting back and watching the men ruin the girl completely. She was cven ready to get the whole thing on camera so that she could lord it over Emma‘s head whenever she wanted. She had laughed with glee when she mulled over the things she would do to Emma. Just imagining how pathetic and miscrable Emma would be filling her with indescribable joy. After all, her life had

taken a sharp turn for the worse ever since Emma showed up. For starters, Christopher no longer spoiled her or loved her the way he used to. Previously, he would always be on her side no matter her mistakes, and he indulged in her whims as well. However, the moment Emma came into their lives, he started picking on Arianna‘s flaws, and he was always nagging her to be more like Emma. Arianna had found this exasperatingly hilarious. She failed to see why a young lady of nobility such as herself ought to be more like a lowly tramp like Emma. Furthermore, she hated how Emma had exhausted all possible ways just to get into Trevor‘s bed, and Crystal was always coming up to her crying about it. As time went by, Arianna grew even more determined to throw Emma out of the Bateson household. The last thing she expected was to be interrupted by the police before her plan succeeded. Another officer chuckled dryly as he drawled, “Well, aren‘t you in for a surprise then, Miss Bateson? Your brother was the one who called us.” “What?!” Arianna shrieked. She couldn‘t believe what she had just heard, and she was screaming hysterically as she struggled to get off the ground so she could argue with the police. However, the officer pinned her firmly on the ground, keeping her there in the most disgraceful position anyone had ever seen her in. “That‘s not possible!” she shouted stubbornly even though she couldn‘t get up. “I‘ın his sister! He would never do this to me!” At that moment, a cold voice cut above the ruckus and brought the warehouse into a bone–chilling silence. “Maybe you‘ll believe it after I tell you I have, indeed, personally called the police on you.” Arianna looked up when she heard this, and she saw Trevor‘s silhouette approaching her, the dust visibly floating in the air in the backlit dimness of the warehouse. She thought she saw black spots in her vision; her blatant fury was finally taking a toll on her mind and body. She didn‘t think he would find her here or that he would actually call the police on her. She knew the consequences of her actions. She was no fool. But she had been certain that her brother‘s hatred for

Emma would be enough to keep him from interfering Emma had neither power nor money in Jonestown, so it wasn‘t as if she could do anything to the Bateson Family even if she was grievously wronged. Arianna could still get on a flight after this ugly business was settled and leave Trevor to cover up her tracks–or so she thought. Now that Trevor was the one who betrayed her plans and called the police on her, Arianna was at a loss. In actuality, it was Zachary who had called the police precinct closest to the abandoned warehouse as soon as he tracked down Emma‘s whereabouts. He had been friends with Trevor for long enough that sometimes, each hardly needed to speak to know what the other was thinking. Trevor would, of course, choose to save Emma, but for him to go alone would take too much time. As such, Zachary had made the wise move of calling the police and had the dispatch officers to the scene at first instance.
